Sarah Takes The Fall For The Business Fiasco. Modesto Gives Pedro & Beatriz A Piece Of His Mind. Deborah Poisons Cornelio’s Mind To Flee With Tadeo.
Sarah is being set up to take the fall for the fertilizer failure. Most of the Del Monte brothers won’t give her a break, Juan included. Lucas is on Sarah’s side and Pedro is ready to take advantage of her in this situation.
The insurance will not cover the loss if the cause is determined to be human error. Sarah ends up taking full responsibility and offers up her portion of the inheritance to compensate the company for the loss.
Juan offers to do the same but Sarah sticks to taking full responsibility. The company has a rainy day fund just for such occasions but the majority of the brothers don’t want a penny of their money helping to save Sarah. Her future with the family and in the business depend on the results of the soil analysis.
Juan says they can always sue the fertilizer company if the analysis warrants it. After talking in private to Juan and seeing that he still doesn’t fully trust her, Sarah tells him that when it is proven she had no role in the crop failure, she hopes he apologizes to her from the bottom of his heart.
Pedro realizes how much Julieta is enjoying the Sarah/fertilizer situation. He tells her that a jealous woman is capable of anything and have the best strategies. Julieta knows the avocado debacle is working for him and helping to undermine Juan and could make him and Sarah break up. That also works for her.
Julieta makes a call and makes sure that the results of the analysis will be sent directly to her. Supposedly it will take a month. Pedro tries to take Sarah and Juan’s estrangement as an opportunity to put the moves on her. He invites her out to dinner and Sarah accepts but ends up talking to Lucas instead.
Sarah explains to Lucas that she didn’t lie to him. She herself wasn’t aware of her feelings about Juan until she realized she was in løvë. Lucas admits that his brother is a tough businessman but is a good man. She must have known that because she fell in løvë with him, right? They end up on good terms.
Pedro undercuts Juan’s authority telling Mr. Henry that Juan doesn’t know how to run a business but if he sticks with him he will get him his avocados and take care of him. He tells Mr. Henry he can help by not investing any more money in the company with Juan in charge.
Modesto is on a roll and tells Pedro off for breaking his son’s heart. He will never forgive him for that. Next, he stops by to give Beatriz a piece of his mind. Beatriz explains that the affair was a response to the mistreatment and beatings at Cornelio’s hand. He blames her for not leaving Cornelio rather than having an affair.
Rosa brings shopping bags full of food to Jessica’s new home. Brandon complains to Dulce about losing his room to Brayan and his wife. Julieta reluctantly goes out to eat with a determined Mateo when she really wanted to invite Juan out to eat instead.
Rosa has an “attack” when Jessica suggests that she invite the whole Cruz family over for dinner. Simón takes Paloma out to a romantic dinner with promises of a big surprise coming her way. Today is a very special day. Deborah and Prospi stop by the store and Deborah gets all bïtçhy because Tadeo is there.
Beatriz says that Rosa never minded. Prospi says Tadeo stays. Deborah convinces Cornelio to take Tadeo on the run on her dime. First, Cornelio poisons Tadeo’s mind against his Uncle Pedro and then convinces Tadeo to go on a “trip” to the beach with him alone.
Cornelio’s plans are ruined when Tadeo hears Brandon and Dulce talking about going to the beach and has to share his own plans. Juan continues to have doubts about Sarah. In a flashback, he hears his father telling him: he needs to be more alert because he could be sleeping with the enemy. The coin has been tossed and it has two sides.
On the good side, he has the shelter provided by his brothers and father but on the bad side, he has to dodge the crises and fights that happen in living every day. Juan needs to remember not to try to do it all alone but to rely on his brothers. He needs to avoid blocking himself off or allowing anyone to hide information from him no matter who they might be.
