Peterson Becomes Obsessed With Having Rita Father “His Child”. Tupe Reaches Out To Rita & Saves Peterson Again.
Peterson explained to Rita that he wanted to have an IVF treatment for their baby instead of adoption. Rita was worried because the child would only have her blood but Peterson said he would not mind not being the father. Rita was however worried because she had lost her first child and would not be able to bear it if she lost another one.
Later, Peterson confessed to his friend that he needed Rita to carry the child for 9 months so that people would stop suspecting that he was impotent; he needed a sperm donor for the IVF procedure but did not want to go to a sperm bank in case the information was leaked. He therefore wanted to choose someone he trusted personally to be the donor. Rita talked to her friend at the hospital about their decision to have a child.
The doctor told her that she would be the one to carry the child so her input was as important as Peterson’s. She advised that Rita should take time to make a decision. Rita later went to visit her stillborn child’s grave. When she got home, Olivia accused her of putting pressure on Peterson to have a child.
She did not like that Peterson would not be the child’s father. Rita however told her that they would take care of their issues by themselves. Tupe was not able to meet the mayor to tell him about the water contamination at Tisay by the Velasquez mine. He therefore decided to go and see Rita.
Tupe was waiting for Rita at her office but interestingly, Peterson was the one to arrive first. He introduced himself and offered to help. They went to Tisay together and the people at the community were glad to see Peterson visit them.
He agreed to tell Rita about the issue and have Tupe meet with her so he could discuss things with her. Peterson offered to drive Tupe back and they ended up in an accident; a tree branch broke after being hit by lightning and it pierced Peterson.
Tupe attended to him and rushed him to the hospital. Peterson was immensely grateful for his help. When Rita heard about Peterson’s accident, she rushed to the hospital and almost ran into Tupe.At that moment, Tupe received an urgent call about his sister, Hannah who had been arrested.
Peterson was later discharged because the wound was not serious and Tupe had been there to help him. His mother Olivia said that they would use the issue of the contaminated water to have the Velasquez mine closed. They were trying to acquire the mine for a business they were working on.
Olivia was the person behind the contamination because she wanted the mine owners to get in trouble. The people at Tisay gushed about Peterson and Rita.
