Sarah Is Enraged To Learn Of Juan’s Interference. Pedro Orders A Hit On Cornelio. Juan Serves Sarah A Severe Scolding. Dante’s Sinister Plan Is Revealed.
Julieta brings Juan a framed photo of Severiano as a gift in an attempt to win him over. Juan isn’t moved but doesn’t stop Julieta from promising to fight for his løvë. Prospero isn’t happy with the idea of Rosa renting Adela’s business space and thinks that it’s ridiculous to kick her out in such manner.
Adela is given a thirty day notice to vacate but things get heated up and she’s thrown out the same day. In the meantime, Cornelio and Beatriz reach an agreement to begin divorce proceedings.
A flashback shows more of how Juan and Pedro were tied up and beaten when they were kids.
The ordeal seemed to affect Pedro when he recalls it. Berta opens up to Rosa about her preposterous løvë story.Pedro insists on putting Mateo in a place to help him with his illness. Simon and Mateo talk about their love life; Simon tells Mateo that he got back with Paloma and Mateo tells him that he decided to leave Juan and Julieta alone; he won’t try to break them apart again despite the fact that he has always been in løvë with Julieta.
Simon confesses that Pedro has a plan to get Deborah and Sarah out of the ranch and they both acknowledge that they do not like the effect that Sarah has on Juan. Sarah spends so much time with Beatriz, giving her the “feminist” advice and this makes her late for work as Juan tries to call her to remind her.
Sarah almost catches her mother and Dante ki$$ing and Debbie being Debbie manages to turn it around and make Sarah believe otherwise. Dante confesses to Sarah that the mortgage on her house was paid off by Juan. Upset, Sarah goes to confront Juan to give him a piece of her mind.
There is a shooting at the plaza shortly after Juan arrives with Pedro. Pedro conveniently disappears into the background before the shooting happens. A guy named Amado is shot but the büllet seems to have been destined for Cornelio who is there with Tadeo.
Later, Sarah notices that Pedro’s account of the incident is different than what he told the police. Sarah asks why did Pedro why he called out to Amado before the shot was fired and he lies through his teeth and squirms his way out of that one.
Pedro then redirects the conversation, saying that the police think that Amado is linked to dangerous betting that has been going on. In a conversation with Dante, Debbie is sure that Pedro arranged for somebody to shoot Cornelio. Dante warns her not to say such things or she will end up making a report to the police.
Dante also reminds her that with a whole year to work on it, she has enough time to destabilize each of the brothers to such an extent that they will renounce their inheritance. She asks why she would do that knowing that the money would be going to some damn charities. Dante informs her that is exactly what she will do because he owns the charities. 
Juan explodes at Sarah’s lack of commitment and gives her a severe scolding in front of Julieta and Pedro. He makes it clear to her that her laziness won’t be tolerated. Sarah reacts and is not afraid of being fired but Juan refuses to do so.
