Beatriz Confesses Her Affair With Pedro; Cornelio Storms The Hacienda. Juan Breaks Off His Engagement To Julieta.Cornelio Becomes Vengeful.Sarah Decides To Help Beatriz.
Lucas confronts Sarah about what is going on between her and Juan. Sarah says that she is only there because of the business and admits that Juan has awakened in her old longings of wanting to feel alive. Lucas asks her if she løvês Juan or not. Meanwhile, Modesto confronts Juan about what had happened between him and Julieta. Juan confesses and admits that Julieta is not the løvë of his life.
An enraged Cornelio tells Beatriz to quit beating around the bush and tell him why she doesn’t want Tadeo around Pedro. She tries to tell him that Pedro is obsessed with their son and wants to buy him with things that they cannot afford. Cornelio explains that Tadeo is his only nephew. Who else does Pedro have to spoil?
She is afraid that he will try to take him from them. Cornelio insists Beatriz has no reason to think that Pedro is a bad person.Beatriz states that she simply does not want him near Tadeo. Juan tells Modesto that he really doesn’t know if for all of these years he loved Julieta or if he just cared about her.
Modesto tells him not to fool himself. He always protected her as if she were a friend. He needs to tell her like it is. Juan doesn’t want to hurt her and Modesto points out that she already is; he warns him that a woman like Julieta is capable of anything when provoked.
When Juan laments over everything that has happened to him, Modesto assures him that he will always be by his side. He knows Juan has what it takes to make it. Juan smiles and hugs him. Cornelio wants to know the truth and Beatriz steps closer to him and tells him that she and Pedro were once lovers. Cornelio slaps her so hard that she ends up on the sofa.
He refrains from hitting her again and just stares as Beatriz cries on the couch. Sarah asks Lucas how she could be in løvë with his brother when she hasn’t known him for even a week. Lucas says it only takes five minutes to fall in løvë and Sarah states that many years ago, she buried løvë in a corner of her heart.
Lucas understands where she’s coming from and he notes that she’s like a sister to him. Cornelio rants nonstop about how Beatriz and Pedro had betrayed him and made fun of him. Beatriz tries to explain things to him and Cornelio gets even more upset and he angrily leaves to go and confront Pedro.
Prospero and Rosa are disheartened to learn of Juan’s intention to break off his engagement to Julieta. The latter refuses to let anyone make a føøl of her daughter. In no time, she confronts Juan and accuses Sarah of being the third party. Sarah defends herself. Juan decides he wants to talk to Prospero. Rosa is not invited.
Salvador comes with Dulce his niece to see Adela at her flower shop and he convinces her to give her a job without pay. Simón has found out why Salvador has so much resentment towards their family; his wife was their father’s lover, so Simón has made the decision to break up with Paloma in spite of how much he løvës her.
Mateo strives to talk some sense into him. Simón declares that he detests everyone who made their mother suffer. As revenge for what Deborah did, neither she or Sarah will see one penny of the inheritance. 
Prospero talks to Juan and tries to make him honor his commitment because he gave his word when he proposed. Juan says Julieta’s jealous behavior isn’t healthy for either of them. Deborah discusses with Sarah about Juan’s breakup with Julieta. They hear Cornelio downstairs calling for Pedro to come out like a man.
They go running downstairs to see what is going on. Juan and Modesto join Cornelio who is still shouting for Pedro and saying that he is going to k!ll him.While Pedro is arriving at the hacienda, Beatriz calls him and notifies him about Cornelio now knowing they were lovers.
Pedro laughs sarcastically and tells her that she just saved him from having to tell Cornelio himself. When Pedro walks in, Cornelio calls him “a traitor” and Pedro quickly grabs him by the neck and demands to know how he would dare shout at him in his own home.
After they’re separated, Cornelio asks Pedro how he could betray him with his own wife though they’re brothers. Pedro taunts him and justifies his actions, exposing Cornelio as a wife beater. Later, Beatriz shows up at the house where she is greeted by Sarah.
She is afraid everyone will think she is a slut who goes to bed with everybody. Beatriz admits her mistakes and asks Sarah to help her because Pedro wants to take her son away from her. Cornelio refuses to listen to the counsel of his father Modesto and Juan; he has made up his mind to divorce Beatriz and take Tadeo.
In the meantime, Sarah tries to get the truth out of Beatriz so she can help her but Beatriz conveniently leaves out the fact that Pedro is Tadeo’s biological father. Sarah assures her that she can count on her. The four brothers discuss the issue between Pedro and Cornelio and they end up arguing amongst themselves. Pedro tells them the truth and takes sick pleasure in doing so.
Mateo explodes and grabs him by the lapels, reminding him that Modesto was like a father to them. Simón remembers the other day when Pedro mentioned being a father to a child. He guesses it was Beatriz’s boy. Pedro shocks everyone by declaring that Tadeo is a Del Monte and the first heir and his son.
