Carmen Plots Against Jane & Almost K!lls Sarah In The Process! Jane Comes To The Rescue.
Noah brings Jane to dinner with his family. Elijah brings up their mother’s upcoming 60th birthday and Carmen gets all excited and compliments Mrs. Borromeo, telling her that she looks fresh and much younger.
Jane agrees with her and when she asks of Sarah’s secret, she says its all thanks to her stress-free lifestyle. Noah and Elijah agree to celebrate their mother and Sarah tells them that the party should be something small with just close friends.
Carmen asks Sarah to leave everything to her and MJ and she also promises to make it her best birthday ever. Jane couldn’t agree more. A waitress serves them Noah’s favorite dish and Sarah makes it a point to make the girls know that she’s severely allergic to food containing nuts.
At home, Jane gives her mother a skincare treatment. She recounts to her the dinner with the Borromeo family and Sara’s birthday. The next morning, Carmen has a talk with Jane and claims that she’s scheduled for some important appointment.
Carmen convinces Jane to cover for her by delivering some souvenirs to a chef she had chosen for her mother-in-law’s birthday. Noah catches up with Jane before she leaves for Santa Rosa and suggests that they just hire an event coordinator to take care of things.
Jane turns down the offer because she wants to add a personal touch to his mother’s birthday celebration. She soon arrives at the address Carmen had given her and when it turns out to be a wrong lead, she calls her to ask about it.
Carmen claims she had said Juan Pablo Street and not Pablo Street. Jane is in disbelief. Once off the phone, she tries to look up the address on the digital map while Carmen gloats to herself. In no time, Carmen goes to see Julian her lôvër boy and takes pleasure in the massage he gives her.
He brings up their ultimate plan to rob the Borromeos blind and Carmen assures him that she’s working on it. Later that night, Jane comes to learn that she had been assigned as the chef for the birthday event. Carmen thanks Jane for the assistance she had given her yesterday and even calls her an angel.
After Jane leaves to take care of something, she mixes nuts – the ingredient Sarah is allergic to – with the food that has been prepared.
A moment later, they dine together and Sarah commends Carmen for preparing such a delicious meal.
Carmen acts all nice and accredits the success to MJ. Noah is glad and he believes that Jane would make his mother’s birthday memorable. It doesn’t take long for Sarah to start having an allergic reaction.
Carmen plays dumb and asks MJ if she had added nuts to the food. When Jane replies in the negative, she fetches some sauce with a spoon and shows it to her, saying that it contains nuts. Jane is in disbelief.
She’s certain that she didn’t include any nuts but Carmen contradicts her. Noah and Elijah make a futile attempt to ease their mother’s discomfort and Jane comes to the rescue since she happens to be carrying a remedy for Sarah’s condition.
Fortunately, Mrs. Borromeo recovers and she thanks Jane. Jane apologizes for the incident and assures her that she hadn’t included any nuts in the food. Klaire makes a pathetic effort of backing her up and Sarah thanks Jane again, saying that she’s better now.
Once home, Elijah tries to convince his mother to go to the hospital but she assures him that she’s fine and just needs to rest. Again, Carmen subtly tries to lay the blame on Jane for the incident which had nearly k!lled Sara.
Elijah gets upset but Sarah says they should stop blaming MJ because she had come to her aid. Later, Carmen talks over the phone with Julian, upset over how Jane is now being seen as a savior from Mrs. Borromeo’s perspective.
Julian says Jane was just lucky and Carmen vows to make sure that she doesn’t get that lucky next time. Elijah comes over but fails to hear anything suspicious as Carmen ends the call as soon as he announces his presence. Sarah has a talk with Carmen and Jane about the preparations for her birthday.
After they come to a conclusion about the design of her dress and all, she leaves the girls to attend to something. Carmen puts on her act again and claims to have an emergency, she asks Jane to take care of contacting Ogie to talk about the designs.
When Jane later puts in the call, Ogie gives her attitude and tells her that his schedule is fully booked. He then hangs up on her. Tania shows up and after learning of the plight of her best friend, she tries to make her see that Carmen is playing her.
She suggests that she get some other designer to make Sarah’s dress and after seeing a video on her phone, Jane runs off. Turns out that Carmen is in cahoots with Ogie to frustrate Jane.
Nevertheless, Jane reaches out to a promising designer and convinces him to take Sarah as his client for her 60th birthday celebration. Jane has to do a photo shoot for him though and she doesn’t disappoint. Noah drops off Jane at home after the day’s activities.
They talk about everything and Noah says he’s impressed and touched by what MJ has done for his mother. Noah tells her that Sarah would definitely lövê her more when she comes to know of what she had to do to get that dress.
He worries about disappointing his mother again and Jane says he should just let go of the past and live for today because that’s all they have.
