Noah Becomes Jane’s Boss. Klaire Is Deãd! Carmen Successfully Manipulates Jane.
Noah meets up with his brother and Elijah tells him that he needs an architect to help him with the expansion of his business as soon as possible. Noah is reluctant to accept the offer so Elijah brings up his plan to open a resort of his own.
Since Laview Resort, the resort MJ works at is now up for sale, Elijah urges him to buy that instead, saying that it’s a good investment. Eventually, Noah gives in but worries about what their mother’s reaction would be.
Again, Elijah convinces his brother to push through with it. Noah relents and is excited to give the resort a major makeover. Elijah informs his mother about his agreement with Noah and convinces her to consent to it. Mrs. Borromeo reluctantly gives in and tells him that he would be responsible should his brother mess up.
Elijah assures her that that won’t happen. Later, the manager of Laview Resort meets up with the employees and gives them assurance of keeping their jobs even after the place is renovated. Noah reveals himself as the new owner of the resort, surprising everyone, Jane especially. He gives a speech about his intention for taking over Laview.
Jane is delighted. Noah makes known his plans for the resort and reveals it’s sketched prototype. The more improved resort would be known as Joy Laview in honor of MJ. Later, while Tania and Jane discuss about the resort, attorney Marcelle shows up. The attorney informs the girls of the information he’s found on Klaire.
Apparently, Klaire had died in a car accident two years ago after the case involving her and Alfred. Jane is in disbelief. Tania is relieved with the news since she thinks that it’s less problem for Jane.
However, Jane wants to be sure of the information so the attorney suggests that they confirm Klaire’s dëāth at the public records office with her dëāth certificate. Carmen spies and eavesdrops as Jane makes known her intention to investigate Klaire’s dëāth.
Jane thanks the attorney for all his help. After he’s left, Carmen comes over and Jane asks what she’s doing there. Carmen hands Jane some breakfast she had packed for her, saying that she had just wanted to see how she was doing after the incident in the forest.
Jane plays along and thanks her while Tania regards her with distrust and makes mockery of her as soon as she gets out of her hair.
Carmen gets back into her car and throws a fit over Jane’s persistence to expose her. She calls Julian and asks him to do something about Jane because she wants to investigate Klaire’s dëāth.
Julian calls Carmen by the name Klaire and urges her not to panic. He assures her that he would take care of things. Jane comes to the public records office with Tania to make enquiries about Klaire’s dëāth. While she’s preoccupied with a phone call, Julian bumps into Tania and gets away unnoticed.
Jane and Tania head to the IT department and ask for them to check Klaire’s dëāth certificate.Conveniently enough, the system suffers a glitch at that moment. While Jane and Tania anxiously wait for the computer to come back online, Julian has a talk with a higher-up and bribes him to falsify a dëāth certificate for Klaire Almazan Gomez.
Back in the other office, the system comes back online and the IT professional searches for records of Klaire and shows her dëāth certificate to Jane and Tania. The girls are shocked. Later that night at home, they discuss the issue with Mrs. Ortega who urges her daughter to let it go since she’s now found evidence of Klaire’s dëāth.
Mrs. Borromeo is upset and throws a fit because she dreads that she might be compelled to shut down her wellness center due to the bad reviews. Elijah calms her down and Carmen offers to help her by relocating La Belleza, her beauty salon.
Sara gladly agrees and offers to have her run the whole wellness center and even put up a branch of her beauty salon at the resort. Carmen is delighted and Elijah thanks her for her help, saying that she’s a lifesaver.
The next morning, Carmen introduces Chi-Chi to her mother-in-law and reveals that she would be managing the wellness center as one of her most trusted employees. Again, Sara thanks Carmen for saving them, saying that she’s the best daughter-in-law ever. Carmen’s response is that they’re her family and she would do anything for them.
Later, she talks on the phone with Julian and gloats over how she has everyone wrapped around her finger so easily. Jane is carrying a box of her stuff when she bumps into Carmen, who lashes out at her for knocking her phone down. Jane apologizes and when Carmen notices her, she changes her demeanor, apologizes and even begins to show concern towards her.
Jane expresses her apology to Carmen for mistaking her for Klaire and accusing her and Carmen says it’s no big deal because she’s forgiven and her actions have been forgotten. Apparently, Jane would be working for Elijah for the meantime now that Laview Resort is under renovation. She gets all friendly with Carmen and even shakes hands with her.
At the restaurant, Mrs. Borromeo gives Jigs her order and the manager of the resort comes over to give a report of how things have been going. She reveals that Elijah has hired an assistant and when Sara grudgingly asks who it is, Jane shows up and announces herself. Mrs. Borromeo isn’t the least bit happy.
