Carmen Plots Against Jane & Gets Caught In A Lie. Jane Reconciles With Carmen. Rose Is Deceived By Carmen.
Jane is walking with her boyfriend Noah when they run into her mother. Noah goes ahead to get some ice and Jane talks with her mother about the unfortunate incident that had taken place after the wedding at the reception.
As they deliberate on the possibility of Carmen being Klaire, Carmen shows up and confronts them. Mrs. Borromeo also comes over with Elijah in tow. She tells Jane that she had really made a fòöl of herself last night. Carmen’s hostile demeanor changes to suit herself and the situation.
She puts on an act and assures Jane that she doesn’t hold anything against her for what had happened. She begins making light of everything as Noah returns. Noah introduces Rose to the family as MJ’s mother and as expected, Carmen plays dumb and excitedly greets her.
Mrs. Ortega stares in disbelief for a moment before revealing that she is one of the owners of Pinky Rose. The excitement Carmen displays is beyond measure. The Ortegas look on silently as she sings the praises of Rose’s product. Sara admonishes Jane’s confusing behavior last night, only for Carmen to invite her and her mother to breakfast.
Jane kindly turns down the offer with the excuse that she’s going to the hospital for a checkup, a statement that earns her a subtle ridicule from Mrs. Borromeo. Carmen urges Jane to go out with her and her husband before they leave for their honeymoon. Though Sara says she doesn’t have to, Jane agrees to it.
Rose gives her daughter a look of disbelief. Later, mother and daughter resume their discussion about Carmen. Speaking of, Carmen talks on the phone with Julian and asks for suggestions to get rid of Jane before she exposes her. A moment later, she talks to a couple at the hotel who happen to be her fake parents.
Jane and her mother overhear the exchange from their room so they come out just in time to see Carmen giving the couple some money. After witnessing the scene, Jane confronts Carmen and questions her about what she is up to and Carmen plays dumb and meek. She remains silent and allows Jane to talk down at her as the Borromeos approach.
Noah tries to make Jane stop but she wouldn’t listen. She goes on to expose Carmen’s fake parents and even points out how she had paid them off. When Carmen’s attempts to deny the accusations doesn’t go so well, she begins crying and acting all misërãble. She admits that they have all just been pretending. Elijah asks what she means by that and Carmen says her real parents are in big financial trouble.
Much to Jane’s disbelief, Carmen continues with her sob story and apologizes to her husband for deceiving him, saying that she had just wanted to be the perfect woman for him. As expected, Elijah falls for Carmen’s act and even sympathizes with her. Mrs. Borromeo then reprimands Jane and tells her that Carmen’s actions is none of her business.
Later, Jane reflects on an encounter with Klaire from the past and remembers that she had a tattoo on her back. On this note, she plans to use it to prove to everyone that Carmen is indeed Klaire. Rose her mother worries that there could be another scandal if she doesn’t see any tattoo on Carmen’s body.
Noah tells Elijah and Carmen about MJ’s invitation for some barbecue at the resort as her way of making it up to her. Carmen says they already have plans for the weekend but Elijah assures his brother that they would be there. Carmen pretends to be okay with it. She asks of the preparations and Noah says MJ has everything covered.
Meanwhile, Jane and Tania set things in place for the barbecue night. Jane approaches Carmen’s table and as she tries to reach out to her, Carmen startles and a glass of water spills on her in the process. Thinking that she’s just a random waiter/waitress, Carmen throws a fit, asking if she’s blind or just stüpïd.
Carmen doesn’t say the last word because she freezes when she realizes that Jane is the waitress. Jane stares back with apprehension.
Carmen’s demeanor changes and she apologizes profusely. Jane indulges her and sits with her. She also apologizes to Carmen for her reactions and the misunderstandings during her wedding.
Carmen accepts her apology happily and asks her to just forget about everything. She says they’re almost family and would be like sisters soon once she gets married to Noah. And with that, she hugs Jane. Carmen’s smile broadens when she spots Julian lurking nearby and smoking.
Rose comes to Carmen’s beauty salon and gets lost in her thoughts for a moment as she stares at Carmen. When she snaps out of it, they talk business and Carmen goes on about how her clients are impressed with her Pinky Rose hair wax.
She assures Rose that the products would attract more beauty salons if she improves the packaging. Rose gets all excited and Carmen offers to treat her to a makeover. She entertains her and has her take a seat.After leaving Mrs. Ortega in the company of her employee, Carmen walks away with a dubious and irritating look on her face.
Later that night when Rose returns home, she has a talk with her daughter about Carmen and how her personality seems to be a direct opposite to that of Klaire. On account of this, she’s inclined to believe that Carmen might not be Klaire after all.
