Carmen Cooks Up A Wiçked Scheme Against Jane To Protect Her Dark Secret. Noah & Elijah Remain Confused.
Carmen begins treating her bridal makeup artists with hostility as they attend to her and help her get ready for the wedding. She receives a phone call that seems to upset her and in no time, Mrs. Borromeo comes over to offer her a very precious jewelry.
Remember the one million dollar necklace Klaire had coveted and wanted Alfred to buy for her? Yeah, that’s the one. Carmen is delighted to receive such an expensive gift. Sara asks Carmen to take care of the necklace which happens to be the Borromeo family heirloom.
On that note, she tells Carmen that she would have to return the necklace to her after the wedding ceremony because it’s very precious to her, and very expensive to boot. Carmen gushes with delight as Mrs. Borromeo puts the necklace on her. Carmen is quite upset that her wedding will be taking place at the resort in Batangas.
She observes from a distance with her attendants as the guests begin arriving. She notices Noah standing outside with Jane, appalled to learn that she’s the girlfriend of Elijah’s brother. The wedding ceremony begins with the accustomed processional. Carmen eyes Jane, gloating.
Jane stares back at Carmen with apprehension, horrified at the thought of her actually being Klaire. Carmen takes delight in Jane’s misery. She smirks and carries on to join the man of her dreams. The priest begins to officiate the ceremony and Mrs. Borromeo gets all emotional as Elijah and Carmen exchange vows.
Jane looks on, still unsettled, recalling her endless nasty encounters with Klaire in the past. Mrs. Ortega has the shock of her life to see Klaire’s mural at the beauty salon. She gets all worked up and when she questions an employee about it, she’s told that the person is Carmen, the madam of the place.
Rose asks of her whereabouts and she’s told that today is her wedding day. Pinky is inclined to believe that Carmen is just Klaire’s lookalike but Rose is certain that they’re one and the same person. Carmen pierces Jane with a smug look as a series of flashbacks of their past encounters plays out.
Presently, the priest goes on about the lövê story of the couple and asks for anyone who has any objection to the union to speak now or forever hold their peace. Reflecting on how Klaire had k!lled Alfred and attempted to k!ll her too, Jane springs to her feet, garnering the attention of everyone.
Jane walks out of the venue as Klaire looks on, hoping that she doesn’t return to ruin her day. Noah goes after his girlfriend and finds her hyperventilating. She tells him that the woman getting married to his brother is Klaire.
Speaking of, Carmen and Elijah are pronounced as husband and wife and they’re congratulated by everyone. Noah keeps Jane company and asks her about what had actually happened with her and the Klaire she keeps mentioning.
Jane is reluctant to make bare the darkest moment in her life and Noah urges her to stop keeping him in the dark. Still, Jane struggles to come clean. Later that night, Julian buys off a waiter and hands him a spiked bottle of wine to serve to Noah and his girlfriend.
Elijah and Carmen are called on to dance and Jane observes with disgust. A moment later, Noah joins her at the table and strives to ease her distress. While Julian continues to watch from the shadows, the waiter he had bought off brings a glass of wine to Jane and Noah’s table.
The drink accidentally ends up spilling when Noah gets up and heads to the stage to give a congratulatory speech. Noah gives a heartfelt speech about his brother much to the delight of everyone else.
As the waiter brings Jane another glass of wine, Carmen glances in Julian’s direction and when he raises up his glass of wine, she smiles in response. Noah makes a toast to the newlyweds and Jane downs her glass of wine. She’s brought another glass which she also drinks despite being drank already.
While Carmen takes the stage, Noah rejoins Jane who begins cursing at Carmen as she gives her speech. She sees Alfred’s face in Elijah’s and it triggers her to relive that traumatic experience again. Jane almost makes a scene as she collides with a waiter carrying some glasses.
Jane and Noah join the newlyweds and the other guests on the dance floor. Elijah decides to have a dance with Jane after his wife excuses herself for a moment. Said wife secretly meets up with Julian who asks if she wants Jane out of her way.
Carmen makes mockery of Jane, saying that she’s already out of her mind. Julian flaunts the drug he had mixed with the bottle of wine that had been served to Jane. Jane continues to dance with Elijah and learns that he had initially met Carmen in Baguio during a business summit.
Back outside, Carmen eagerly waits for the drüg to start taking effect on Jane. Noah suddenly shows up and she acts all excited when he asks to introduce her to his MJ. They head back inside where Carmen continues with her act.
Carmen tries to hug Jane but she pulls back in disgust and begins making a scene, saying that she knows she is Klaire and not Carmen. Carmen feigns surprise and ignorance. The commotion draws the attention of Mrs. Borromeo who shows up just in time to witness Jane pass out.
Noah carries his girlfriend away. Later, Jane wakes up to find Noah by her bedside. Noah questions Jane about the incident that had occurred at the reception – how she had accused Carmen of being Klaire in front of everyone. Jane apologizes and says that she doesn’t understand why she had done that.
Noah sympathizes with her and asks her to rest. Meanwhile, Noah has a talk with his wife about the very same incident. He’s confused about why Jane kept insisting that she’s Klaire, and Carmen says it’s probably because Jane had been drunk.
