Jane Sees Carmen & Is Convinced That She’s Klaire. Carmen’s Marriage To Elijah Is In Danger.
Noah walks the beach with Jane and has a talk with her about how his mother had always looked down upon him and treated him with reservations. Apparently, Elijah has always been their mother’s favorite son from their childhood.
He recounts how his father had died of a heart ãttaçk, a tragic incident which his mother hadn’t even shed a single tear over. As Jane strives to convince Noah to reconcile with his family in spite of everything, Elijah shows up bearing a package and Noah introduces her to his brother.
After exchanging pleasantries, Elijah hands Noah the wedding invitation and urges him to grace the occasion as his best man. Initially, Noah is hesitant but he eventually gives in and decides to go with Jane to the wedding, and the bachelorette party tonight.
The trio have a lighthearted chat and Jane mentions that she looks forward to meeting Carmen. Tania assists Rose and Pinky in making their Pinky Rose products. Jane comes out all dressed up and they tease her over how she’s dressed like a bride.
Jane then brings up the wedding invitation of Noah’s brother. Meanwhile, Elijah informs Carmen about his encounter with his brother and his girlfriend earlier. Carmen is curious about Noah and eager to meet Jane. Meanwhile, Noah calls Jane on phone and asks if she’s ready to meet the family.
Jane asks him to go ahead and promises to meet him at the venue. Later that night, Noah arrives at the bachelorette party and Elijah receives him gladly and introduces him to Carmen, his wife-to-be. Noah offers his hand but Carmen hugs him instead and asks of MJ. Noah looks on silently without words to say.
Noah joins Elijah and Carmen at their table for a little chat. When he receives a text message from Jane, he leaves to go and find her. Jane goes in search of the venue and when she finally finds it, she opens the door and stops in her tracks, her eyes fixed ahead in disbelief.
Staring at her from inside is none other but Carmen. A moment later, Carmen and Elijah express their appreciation to their family and friends for being with them on the occasion.
While they head to the venue, Jane tells Noah of the striking resemblance between Klaire and his brother’s wife-to-be.
Speaking of, Elijah goes on about how he can’t wait to marry his special woman. The couple make a toast and a moment later, Noah and Jane show up to find Carmen missing. Jane wishes Elijah the best for his wedding. She then asks of the whereabouts of his fiancée.
Carmen stands in the stairwell and greets some guests on their way out, hoping to see them on her wedding day. She then begins walking back to the venue where she’s congratulated by some girls. On her way, she bumps into Jane and doesn’t even bother to look at her as she goes.
In the washroom, Jane overhears Carmen talking on the phone excitedly about Elijah. When Carmen realizes that she isn’t alone, she disappears before Jane can see her. Jane asks Elijah about Klaire Gomez and Elijah tells her that he only knows her as Carmen. With the event over and now back home, Mrs. Borromeo argues with Elijah on account of Noah.
Elijah storms off after the exchange of words, and Carmen resolves to convince Mrs. Borromeo to let Elijah feel that their family has a chance to be happy again. In the meantime, Jane has a talk with her best friend about her encounter with Carmen. Jane is confused with everything and can’t seem to understand whether Carmen is indeed Klaire or a different person altogether.
Mrs. Sara Borromeo comes to the resort in search of Jane, and Jane is surprised to see her there. With pleasantries out of the way, Sara asks of the meaning behind MJ and Jane reveals that it stands for “My Joy”, a nickname which her son Noah had given her.
Sara recounts how she had struggled to connect with Noah after his father had died. She mentions how their relationship had gotten better when he had met Shayne. As they talk some more, Noah shows up out of nowhere, surprised with his mother’s presence.
Carmen runs into Jane and makes deliberate efforts to avoid and get away from her. She slips into a building and into an elevator. Jane goes after her and tries to catch up to her. She’s compelled to take the stairs and isn’t able to see Carmen who’s now hiding under a desk and watching her.
Jane runs into Noah and pours out her heart to him about how she had seen Klaire. Out of breath from all the running, Carmen gets frustrated when she fails to reach someone on phone. Her makeup artist strives to calm her down as the preparation for the marriage is ongoing.
A moment later, she finally reaches the person who turns out to be Julian her ylover. Carmen is still hyperventilating over her close call with Jane. She confides in Julian and refuses to calm down when he asks her to. While Elijah comes to check up on his wife-to-be, Jane talks to her mother on phone about her encounter with Carmen whom she suspects to be Klaire.
Soon enough, Noah comes to see her in her room and she apologizes for overreacting.
Noah doesn’t mind though. He assures her that she can tell him anything and that he would always support and protect her. Carmen begins treating her bridal makeup artists with hostility as they attend to her and help her get ready for the wedding.
She receives a phone call that seems to upset her and in no time, Mrs. Borromeo comes over to offer her a very precious jewelry. Remember the one million dollar necklace Klaire had coveted and wanted Alfred to buy for her? Yeah, that’s the one. Carmen is delighted to receive such an expensive gift.
Sara asks Carmen to take care of the elegant necklace which happens to be the Borromeo family heirloom. On that note, she tells Carmen that she would have to return the necklace to her after the wedding ceremony because it’s very precious to her, and very expensive to boot. Carmen gushes with delight as Mrs. Borromeo puts the necklace on her.
