Jane Strives To Help Noah Deal With His Painful Past. The Wiçked Wife Returns While Noah Falls For Jane.
Jane is rendered unconscious when she falls off her bicycle. Noah witnesses this and flashes back to a similar occurrence that had taken place in the past where Shayne had hit her head pretty hard against a rock when she had fallen from her bicycle.
Presently, Noah hurries to Jane’s side and carries her from the floor. A moment later, Jane wakes up at the hospital to find Noah at her bedside.Noah is glad that Jane is okay. He seems quite emotional and when he tries to leave, Jane thanks him for his help and urges him to stay with her.
They have a decent and civilized conversation for a change. A flashback reveals how Noah had spent some time with Shayne, how they had gone bicycle riding as well as the unfortunate accident that had happened along the way.
Noah rushed Shayne to the hospital but sadly, she hadn’t been able to make it. Presently, Noah walks the beach with Jane, beating himself up over what had happened to Shayne. If only he hadn’t let her ride the bike, then Shayne wouldn’t have ended up the way she did. He wouldn’t have lost her. That’s what Noah thinks.
Jane tries to make Noah believe that the tragic incident wasn’t his fault but Noah can’t shake off the guilt he feels. He recounts how he couldn’t do anything to save Shayne even when he had her in his arms. Jane can’t help but to sympathize with him.
At another beach somewhere, Noah’s brother who’s called Elijah, hangs out with his girlfriend, Carmen, who has a striking resemblance to the wiçked Klaire Gomez. Carmen makes her way to her beauty salon. She talks on the phone excitedly with a friend of hers about her boyfriend.
Apparently, she had heard that Elijah would propose to her today. Meanwhile, Tania teases Jane over her change of attitude and apparent concern for Noah. She insinuates that they might have something going on but Jane insists that they’re just friends.
Tania continues to tease her best friend as she points out that she and Noah are both single. They talk about the terrible past involving Alfred and Tania urges Jane to open her mind to the possibility of a lövê life. She has Jane close her eyes and urges her to open her heart.
As soon as Tania spots Noah approaching, she tells Jane to open her eyes. Noah comes over and invites Jane to go bicycle riding with her during the weekend.Jane declines the offer and when Noah insists, Tania urges her not to resist. Jane eventually gives in but can’t seem to understand why Noah still calls her MJ – Miss Jinx.
Noah clarifies the matter and reveals that MJ stands for a different thing now – instead of Miss Jinx, it’s now My Joy. Tania can’t help but to react with her usual excitement. In the meantime, Elijah goes out with Carmen who asks why he’s been acting weird of late. Elijah begins sweet-talking her and Carmen reciprocates.
Elijah puts on a show and proposes to Carmen right there and then and she gladly accepts to be his wife. Noah hangs out with Jane and resolves to stop dwelling on the past. Jane commends his efforts to move on and Noah thanks her for making him see things clearly.
He goes in for a ki$$ and Jane braces herself. However, the moment brings back the bad memories of her affair with Alfred and Jane merely apologizes and runs off. Jane goes to Noah’s room, only to find him in a convulsive state.
She hurries to his aid and calls out for help. At the hospital, Noah is admitted and Jane hopes that he survives. The doctor comes to inform her that Noah had suffered a drüg overdose. He makes known of the struggles he’s been having ever since Shayne’s dëāth and suggests that Noah go into rehab before things take a turn for the worse.
Jane brings Noah home and he laments over his situation and how he can’t seem to forget the past and his dependency on drûgs. Jane sympathizes with him. After he throws out and passes out, Jane takes care of him and calls for the doctor to come and check up on him.
The doctor makes it known to Jane that people like Noah can overcome their situation with the help of people they trust. He then notes that Noah trusts her. On this account, Jane decides to help Noah overcome his painkiller åddiçtion.
Jane attends to Noah like a personal nurse as she helps him to take his medication and even spoon-feeds him. She then takes him out for some walking exercise. Once Jane gets home, she informs her mother of Noah’s improvement.
Mrs. Ortega isn’t the least bit enthused to learn that her daughter is getting involved with someone who does drûgs. Carmen talks about her wedding plans over the phone with her friend, and she makes mention of Elijah’s intention to introduce her to someone.
Anyway, Jane gets worked up when she doesn’t find Noah in his room. She’s relieved to find him at the beach and she gladly joins him. Noah thanks her for believing in him and recounts how his own family had given up on him.
“You taught me that there’s life after dëāth,” Noah points out. “Now…there’s löve.”
Noah expresses his feelings for Jane and as he leans close while Jane stares at him, he sees Shayne’s face in hers. Later, Jigs brings Noah some drink as he works alone. While he does so, Elijah his brother shows up out of nowhere and Noah gladly reunites with him.
