Klaire Gets Away With Múrdęr And Ends Up In A Terrible Car Accident. Jane Begins Her New Life In Batangas
Klaire goes through Alfred’s stuff and tries to find some documents to steal. That doesn’t go so well so she manages to break into his safe and takes all the money inside. She then dumps Alfred’s photo frame which had been sitting on the desk into the trashcan.
Klaire comes face-to-face with Alfred’s parents as she turns to leave. She taunts them with being entitled to Alfred’s properties and Helena and her husband give her a reality check. Helena calls her a çriminål before having security throw her out of the company.
Klaire hangs out with Julian and rants nonstop about failing to get the shares of Alfred’s company. The case of Alfred’s múrdęr is brought to court and during the first hearing, attorney Rudolf who happens to be Klaire’s legal defense claims that his client hadn’t intended on k!lling her husband.
He alleges that Klaire had been overwhelmed with emotions when she found her husband in bed with Jane. A witness confirms that Jane had been stãbbėd in the back while she wearing nothing but underwear, with bed sheet covering her body.
The Gomez attorney strives to make the court believe that Klaire had caught her husband in the act. Later at the Ortega residence, Tania pays a visit to inform Jane and Rose that she has been summoned to testify in court. She assures them of her loyalty and asks them to join her in Batangas once the case is over since she’s gotten a new job there.
When the second hearing begins, Tania testifies in favor of Jane. However, another witness helps Klaire’s case by testifying and revealing that Alfred had been stãbbėd while he was still in his underwear.
Klaire goes to the witness stand to put on a quite pathetic act by playing the vulnerable victim. She alleges that she had stãbbėd her husband by accident.
She blames Jane for the tragic incident and having heard enough, Jane speaks up and accuses Klaire of lying and initially cheating on her husband. With tensions rising, the courtroom grows into an uproar and the judge orders the attorneys from either sides to bring their clients to order.
Jane and Klaire have a war of words over Alfred right in front of the media outside the courtroom. Klaire angrily grabs Jane’s beaded necklace and tears it from her neck and the beads scatter onto the floor. She then carries on with a wicked smile on her face.
Thanks to article 247 of the revised penal code, the court sentences Klaire to just two years of banishment – she shall not be permitted to enter Metro Manila nor within a radius of one hundred kilometers from Manila.
Klaire’s defense is delighted with the outcome of the case. Jane is in disbelief and so is Klaire, but both for different reasons. When Klaire recovers from the shock, she gloats over the fact that she’s gotten away with múrdęr.
With the sentencing over, Jane confronts Klaire and she makes mockery of her, telling her that she’s just the mistresses who caused the dëāth of her husband. She then taunts Jane with her freedom. Mrs. Helena Gomez laments over how the case had gone and lashes out at their attorney. She storms out and comes across Jane and Klaire who are having a catfight.
Her screams bring a stop to the fight and when she vows to make Klaire pay for what she did, Klaire taunts her and walks away. As Helena is leaving with her husband, Jane goes after her and tries to make her see that she didn’t intend for what had happened to happen.
Still, Helena berates her and holds her responsible as well. Mr. Gomez makes a futile attempt to restrain his wife. When Rose comes to her daughter’s defense, Helena yells at her too, saying that she and her daughter are both the same – nothing but mistresses.
Rose slãps Helena and she retaliates. Jane holds back her mother while Helena is also held back by her husband before another fight breaks out. Meanwhile, lawyer Rudolf tells Klaire that she can leave Manila in fifteen day’s time if Alfred’s family does not make an appeal.
Klaire is upset for some reason and refuses to leave unless she gets everything Alfred owns. Jane is haunted and tormented by Klaire’s ãttaçk on her and Alfred, and her mother gives her comfort and words of assurance.
Sometime later, Jane goes to a certain accounting firm to seek for employment. Her resume is checked and though her credentials are exceptional, the interviewer declines her application. Jane asks why and the guy mocks her and gives her attitude before telling her to leave his office.
Jane encounters Helena as she’s about to leave the office. Helena taunts her with her association with the accounting firm and implies that she would never be employed in any accounting firm in Manila. Klaire visits Alfred’s grave to gloat over how their marriage had paved the way for her to fulfill her ambitions.
Jane also comes to visit and encounters Klaire. They argue as usual and Jane calls Klaire a gold-digger. Klaire laughs and taunts her with her plans. Rose who’s seated waiting for her daughter, is disgusted with Julian who stands nearby smoking. Anyway, Klaire ãttaçks Jane and begins pulling her hair.
The commotion draws Rose’s attention and she hurries over to help her daughter deal with her nemesis. Cue in some police officers to restore order and drag Klaire away. Klaire gets into her car and drives away furiously with Julian. She vows to k!ll Jane if she sees her again and Julian tries to reason with her.
Julian and Klaire argue and as the latter strives to make the former stop the car, the car veers out of control and crashes through the bridge into the river below. Jane and her mother join Tania at the resort in Batangas and settle in. Later, Jane approaches Tania at work and as they talk, a guy named Noah shows up with a bouquet.
Tania is exited thinking that they’re for her and when the guy clarifies that they’re for her friend, Jane rejects it. While working, Tania has a talk with Jane about their relationships and single lives. She thinks her best friend should have accepted the flowers since it was nothing short of a wedding proposal.
Jane indulges her and points out that she doesn’t have any lövê life. Later, she spends some time at the beach where she encounters a drunk man arguing over the phone. She approaches him and is taken by surprise to see that it’s Noah. Jane stares at him silently.
