The war between the mistress and the cheating wife
Jane is an aspiring accountant who has successfully passed the license exam and will be testing her fate in Manila. Will she be able to fulfill her dreams she promised her deceased father?
The show begins with Jane driving on the road. Klaire rides in the very same car and they soon arrive at the Manila Regional office where Klaire’s entourage attend to her and hold off the nosy reporters who try to fish for some juicy information for their next big scoop.
Klaire takes pleasure in ignoring them as they press for her to give a statement. On the other hand, Jane strives to get away from them as she also heads to the building. Jane comes face-to-face with Klaire and a wãr of words ensues between both women on account of one Alfred who happens to be the husband of Klaire.
After a few more unfriendly words are exchanged, Klaire lays hold of Jane’s beaded necklace and angrily snaps it from her neck right there and there.The beads comes off its string and scatters onto the floor. Satisfied, Klaire saunters away with a smirk on her face. The reporters then crowd Jane and try to get some info out of her.
Later, Jane eagerly goes to a newsstand and she gushes with excitement when she finds her name among the list of students who had successfully passed the accountancy exam. She can’t wait to tell her father the good news.
The seller congratulates Jane and after expressing her appreciation, she pulls out her one to take a selfie in order to savor the moment. However, an incoming phone call interferes. It’s from her mother. Before Jane can tell her of the good news, she receives a very bad one herself.
At the hospital, Jane arrives to learn of how her father’s condition had taken its toll on him. Her mother sadly updates her on her father’s fate and Jane sorrowfully hurries to the male ward to ask the doctor about the current situation.
Unfortunately, Jane’s hopes are dashed when she learns of her father’s passing.
She and her mother take comfort in each other as they cry their heart out of such sorrow and grief. Jane and her mother return home to grief some more over their loss. After a while, Jane shows her mother the newspaper which has her name on the list of the qualified students.
She’s gloomy and miserable over how her father hadn’t lived long enough to see her succeed, and her mother comforts and encourages her. Klaire watches a show about an authentic necklace worth one million US dollars. She takes off the necklace she had been wearing and starts coveting the one on TV.
Without missing a beat, she calls out to her husband and asks him to get her a new necklace. Alfred comes out of the bathroom and she tries to talk him into giving into her request. Alfred questions her about what had transpired between her and Jane and Klaire grumbles, saying that it’s not her fault because Jane had ruined her car.
Alfred falls for his wife’s act and promises to get her the one million US dollars necklace first thing in the morning. Still, Klaire gets worked up and begins ranting and Alfred endures and indulges her.
The next morning, Jane arrives at work, bearing a cup of coffee. She meets Pinky her friend who is excited for her since it’s her first day of working for the company. Pinky strikes a conversation with her up and when she tries to take the coffee, Jane doesn’t let her since she got it for her boss Alfred.
A moment after Jane and Pinky have left, Klaire strolls into the building. As soon as she sets eyes on Jane, she begins to go after her. Jane brings Alfred the coffee in his office to thank him for the chance he had given him.
As Klaire observes with such shock, her husband tells Jane that she’s there at the company because she deserves it. Alfred tells Jane to go back to her desk and prove to him that she’s not just a coffee. As Jane turns to leave, Klaire storms in and gets in her face, calling her stupid and a slut.
She dumps the coffee on the floor, asking why she had given it to her husband. Jane is shocked to learn that her worst enemy is actually the wife of her boss and her superior in the company. Right there on the spot, Klaire fires Jane and demands that she get out.
