Gabriel tells Helena that he and Ellice have patched things up and Helena becomes happy to hear that. Helena asks him if he really can’t l*ve Ellice again and if it’s hard for him because he’s doing all this for Hope but he can’t pretend along the line.
Hope and Lucing are in the living room when Ellice arrives and Lucing tells her to sit down, telling her that Gabriel cooked everything excluding the rice as he appeared. Lucing asks Ellice why she is so exhausted and if it is about work.
Ellice tells her that it’s because of her competitor since they came up with a new idea to compete with her again and it’s stressing her out. Lucing asks her if she’s referring to La Sierra as Ellice looks at Gabriel. Hope tells Ellice not to stress out since she will handle it as always and Gabriel seconds her.
At Ceñidoza, Ellice makes a phone call and unbeknownst to her one of her workers Chona was eavesdropping on her. Chona then calls up Marissa to give her updates on Ellice. Marissa thanks her for never disappointing her.
At dinner, Marissa updates Jake about work and also asks him about the mysterious girl he has been talking about and how excited she is to meet her but Jake said he will introduce her once she becomes his girlfriend and it will happen soon. Marissa tells him to introduce her as a friend for now and she’ll be nice to her.
The Next Day, Jake and Hope work on their project. Jake tells her that his mom wants him to invite her to their condo and maybe they can study there during weekends so she gets to know his mom. Hope said it’s a nice idea so she would like to inform her parents first and Jake said he hopes it will work out soon because his mom is looking forward to seeing her.
At his office, Sonya tells Gabriel that the owner won’t have it if he pulls out of La Sierra’s project and her hands are tied so if he doesn’t come back they might sue them as Gabriel looks at her disturbed.
Later, Charie asks Hope if it’s true that Jake invited her which means he is serious about her. Hope tells her it’s because of their project and his mom only wants to see her. Charie tells her that she’s sure Jake is going to ask her be his girlfriend as she begins to tease her.
Marissa arrives outside Ellice’s house and spies on Lucing through the window promising she will soon be with her because she will get her back. Lucing turns and sees the car but Marissa quickly drives off and Lucing wonders who the car belongs to.
After Marissa’s meeting with her client at a restaurant she spots Ellice and Gabriel and looks at them emotionally. Ellice thanks Gabriel
for taking her out and he said she deserves it after all her hard work.
Marissa looks at them and how caring Gabriel is towards Ellice soliloquies that all this time she thought he has been longing for her and Jacob but she was wrong all along because he chose to forget them and be happy with the same woman who wanted she and her son dead so Gabriel has betrayed and failed her and their son as she wiped her tears.
At Home, the family have dinner together when Hope informed them that she’s will be going to Jake’s place during the weekend and they will be working on their project there since his mom invited her also and she just came back from abroad and wants to meet her.
Gabriel didn’t really like it but Ellice accepted it and tells her it’s a big step because she’s going to meet his parents but Hope said it’s just for the project. Hope arrives at Jake’s house as they keep doing their project Marissa arrives. Hope introduces herself to Marissa, she asks her of her name and she tells Marissa that her name is Hope Villarosa as Marissa looks tense. Marissa tells her that she’s pretty and she should just call her auntie Mari as Hope becomes happy. She served them something to eat and asks why she’s taking up in Business Administration.

Later Hope says her goodbyes as Marissa tells her it was nice meeting her and she is always welcome in her home as Jake escorts Hope and an angry Marissa still stands there with mixed feelings.
Hope thanks Jake for inviting her to his house and she really appreciates it. Jake tells her that he wanted to tell her something so Hope asks what it is. Hope flashbacks to what Charie told her that Jake will ask her to be his girlfriend. Jake decided to tell her but she got a notification that her driver is in so tells him to make it Monday and she leaves while Jake looks at her.
After Jake returns, Marissa tells him that the woman who wanted to k!ll her and Jacob some years ago and the same one responsible for all her suffering is Hope’s mother Ellice Ceñidoza shocking Jake. Marissa tells him that she knows she is asking for much but he can’t fall in l*ve with Hope.
Later, Jake gets a notification from Hope and he checks it as he gets flashbacks of when they become friends. Elsewhere, Marissa also thinks of all that Jake told him about his mysterious girl and how happy he was to introduce the girl to him and when she met Hope.

The Next day, Ellice visits a restaurant, she sees a flyer containing details of La sierra she became angry as she crumbled the flyer, she was given a seat but she saw another flyer and leaves.
Adelina meets Marissa at the same restaurant, she tells her that she still looks beautiful unlike her Adelina who is now old and weak. Marissa tells her that she looks glamorous as ever and she tried to contact her from Indonesia but it didn’t go through. Adelina said she did that because she didn’t want anyone to track down her location. Marissa asks of the organization but Adelina said those who wanted her dead to begin with.
Marissa asks if she means Cesar because she’s back now and they will pay for what they’ve did to her both Ellice and Cesar and she will find prove that they were the ones who wanted her and her son k!lled. Adelina said she’s sorry for not reaching her for the past 17yrs because she wanted to protect her and she’s no more part of the organization but her money can achieve the revenge they both want from Cesar and Ellice. Ellice arrives at Ceñidoza, Pinky tells her that someone from La Sierra called in her absence inviting her to their grand launch this weekend and they are asking her to clear up her schedule as Ellice laughs and can’t believe they asked her to clear up her schedule. At college, Hope and Jake presented their project to their lecturer who seems impressed and said he’s looking forward to see their progress during the semester and leaves.
Hope becomes happy and hugs Jake but Jake seems disturbed. Hope tells Jake that it’s time to give an answer to what he wanted to say last night but Jake leaves in a hurry saying he is sorry.
At night, Hope calls Charie on a video call that she was supposed to say yes but suddenly Jake became cold and distant. Charie tells her not to over think maybe Jake was emotional or had something he has to attend to immediately.
