Jake tells her that he wants them to be friends but Hope says she’s not interested so Jake kneels saying he will try to make her interested as a surprised Hope looks at him while leaving and Jake smiles.
At night, Ellice asks Gabriel how work went, Gabriel tells her that he was outside most of the time and he didn’t have much office work, but he enjoyed her lunch so she becomes surprised and looks at him
The Next day, Ellice packs Gabriel’s lunch while talking to pinky on phone, she asks her to make everything seamless before she gets there.
Lucing comes there and notice the happiness in her eyes. Ellice said she is because for the first time in years Gabriel said he liked her cooking. Lucing is happy for her because she always cooks with l*ve. Ellice tells her that she learnt everything from her as she writes a note attached to the lunch.
Charie and Hope checked their names on the notice of board for their upcoming project. They get shocked to know that Hope was paired with Jake as he arrives and tells her they will be together the whole semester and they’ll get more time to know each other for their business plan.
Hope can’t believe how it happened and but from Jake’s flashbacks it’s turns out he went to their lecturer’s office pleading with him not to pair him with Hope because she will force him to study so the lecturer decides to pair them instead so Jake can study hard. Jake then flatters Hope but she tells him that she won’t accept an incompetent partner and she won’t stop until she gets a perfect result so he better be ready to study.
At his office, Gabriel looks at the lunch bag and flashbacks to when he Ellice visited his office demanding respect. He opens the lunch bag and sees the note on the food as he flashbacks to when Hope asks him if he still l*ves her mom and when Ellice tells him that if he won’t eat the lunch he should give it to someone so that it won’t go waste, he then decides to eat it.
Hope prepared for school and Lucing packs some food for her since she was busy to eat breakfast. Hope informed her that she’ll be home late because she’ll be doing research with her partner in the library. Lucing tells her to message her when she’s in school and on her way home.
At school, Jake startled Hope when he suddenly appeared in front of her locker, she scolds him for scaring her and reminds him of their meeting at the library after class, she also gives him some books to read and promises the semester will be his worst ever as she leaves.
At Villarosa construction, Sonya gives Gabriel and his team a La Sierra booklet of what their new client wants. Gabriel goes through the booklet and sees a design of a locket getting flashbacks of the locket given to him by a little girl during his childhood.
Hope and Jack study at the library when they start staring at each other. All the other students left except the two of them. Hope said they are done for the day but Jake said he can keep doing that till midnight. Hope excuses herself to visit the bathroom and Jake looks at her smiling.
Jake decides to take a quick nap but the Librarian thought everyone had left so switched off the lights, locked up and left. Hope finds out she has been locked in the bathroom and begins to knock but Jake was fast asleep.
Jake wakes up and hears Hope shouting for help so begins looking for her, he realizes the Library is locked so looks for Hope who was finding it hard to breath. He noticed Hope has been locked in the bathroom, he couldn’t open the door so Hope asks for his inhaler and he goes to get it.
Elsewhere, Ellice arrives home, she asks Lucing about Hopes whereabouts because it’s late but Lucing tells her that Hope informed her that she’ll be home late because she has to do her assignments at library and tells Ellice to not worry because she will be back.
Jack goes through Hope’s bag and finds her inhaler but it couldn’t pass under the door so he came up with an idea help her inhale the medicine. He then breaks the door after much difficulty and helps her use the inhaler itself and takes care of her while admiring her.
Jake carries Hope out of the bathroom, he asked if they should call her family but Hope said she doesn’t want them to worry and besides her battery is dead. Jake’s battery was dead too as he bangs on the door for help because they are trapped but to no avail.
Jake tries to make her laugh and lets her sleep on his laps while admiring her.
At home, Ellice is worried sick about Hope and calls up RJ to find out if she knows about the whereabouts of Hope. RJ said Hope is doing the project with a new transfer student but he has a bad reputation on campus so Ellice asked if it’s the same guy bothering her daughter.
RJ said yes and Jake is a womaniser and always looking for trouble so maybe they should call the school since he is worried he might take advantage of Hope scaring Ellice and Lucing that Hope is with that same boy.
