Mia, Patrick & Matmat Seal Their Bond As Family. The Truth About Ingrid Slowly Unravels As Patrick Investigates.
Mia sleepily tells Patrick about how glad she is to be making new memories in the mansion, pointing out that the place was no place for a child to grow up in; it’s where her father went out of his mind, and where her mother supposedly died.
When Patrick questions if Ingrid is really alive, Mia states that she’d prefer to be in a world where she didn’t exist. However, if she’s indeed alive, then she’ll have to deal with it since she brought her into the world.
A moment later, Mia eagerly wakes Patrick up from bed, urging him to go and get ready for the family photo since it’s his day off. Patrick doesn’t really react even as Matmat tries to get through to him. Mia leaves to go and get ready and after she’s done, she’s surprised to learn that Patrick still hasn’t budged.
She goes to confront him and as he continues to give her the silent treatment, she resolves to carry on with Matmat. Upon arriving at the location, Matmat shows Mia the smiles he had practiced for the photos and she urges him to be himself instead.
Patrick surprisedly shows up all dressed up, and they’re both delighted to see him. As he joins them, he brings out Satsat and recounts how he had been swayed by it and a heartfelt note Mia left her. The trio proceed to take some family photos.
Patrick heads over to the crime scene to talk to his mother about the recent incidents. He declares that Ingrid will have to pay if she’s really alive and if she was the one who k!lled her. And he would protect Mia from the fallout begins she’s now his family just like Matmat.
Patrick returns to the mansion and when Mia brings up how he seemed upset before, he confides in her and assures her that he’ll always be there to keep her safe. In the meantime, trouble begins brew at the hospital as Samuel is rushed out of his room for immediate care.
Olivia desperately tries to convince Eden to return him under her care but she strongly objects to it. She’s not going to tolerate her unprofessional behaviors now that she’s the head nurse. Recalling the things the attorney had told him, Patrick observes the scene as he wonders which worker in the hospital could be Ingrid.
Since both Eden and Olivia are the likely suspects for obvious reasons, Patrick later asks Ms. Li about both women and their rivalry over Samuel. Ms. Li points out that it baffles her as it does the other workers.
She reveals that Eden has been working there for over ten years whereas Olivia has only been around for three years. When Mia arrives with Matmat, Ms. Li serves them some food and they dine together happily. Eden observes this and asks Gemma questions about them and she comes to learn that they’re in a relationship.
Gemma takes note of how Mia is always happy with Patrick. When Mia arrives home with the brothers, she excitedly goes on about where to hang the family photo. She even considers redecorating the mansion to suit both their taste but Patrick would rather they all move elsewhere. They share a ki$$ which Matmat sees.
Later, Patrick goes to check up on his brother and Matmat brings it up, saying that it’s okay and they’ll never leave Mia behind. Patrick couldn’t agree more. The day at Ok Hospital, Tommy comes to see Matmat at the mess hall.
Eden asks Patrick to deliver a message to Mia regarding her father and make her come and see him. Later, Patrick sneaks into the isolation room to go and see Samuel in hopes that he might tell her whether his wife is there at the hospital for Mia’s sake.
Samuel laments that Ingrid is dead and she can’t come back. He experiences a sudden seizure and Eden comes running in to stabilize him, all the while keeping Olivia from interfering. When Patrick arrives home, he informs her about her father’s worsening condition.
Mia expresses disinterest and sends him out of the study so she can write. Vincent gives Gemma some gift he had brought, apologizing for not calling her earlier. He blames it on Madeth’s gut, saying that he’s not going to rush into things he likes.
Gemma smiles a little as she carries on. After watching the CCTV footage, Eden confronts Patrick about what he said to Samuel to trigger him and he claims he only talked to him about his daughter.
Mia drinks with Gemma, reflecting on the past with her. She recounts how fearful she was of her mother but never felt her father’s presence because he was never really there.
Meanwhile, Patrick spies on Eden as she goes to check up on Samuel. Out of the blue, Samuel admits that he did something bad by k!lling his wife, taking Eden by surprise.
