Patrick Begins To Warm Up To Mia, Leaving Gemma Heartbroken. Elvie’s Tragic Past Is Revealed Triggers Old Wounds.

Jason rants nonstop about how Patrick had failed to call him. He can’t seem to understand why he’s still entertaining Mia. Just then, Madeth butts in and asks to talk to Matmat.

Meanwhile, Patrick takes Mia to a restaurant and she has some rice with salted eggs and tomato. Since it tastes different from Patrick’s, she orders another one, then asks Patrick to mix the eggs and tomatoes for her.

Mia gladly observes as Patrick goes on right ahead. Madeth blabbers to Matmat about how her bosses have been overworking her nonstop. She asks him about his creative process since Mia has employed him as the illustrator for her new book.

Matmat says he just gets a pencil and paper, then he draws whatever comes to mind. When Madeth begins asking about what inspires him, Matmat just up and leaves without any explanation.

After having her fill, Mia scrutinizes Patrick for barely eating, whining over his reluctance to have fun. Patrick is embarrassed with some inappropriate things she says and he drops the bill on the table to leave with her.

Mia nags him and offers to help him loosen up and find “his thing”. Patrick retorts that she needs to help herself. On the way home, Mia snatches his phone and picks up an incoming call from Gemma.

She puts it on speakerphone and taunts her. Gemma asks Patrick why he didn’t come to work and he states that he had something to take care of. Mia realizes that he had stayed back to take care of her.

After the phone call, she questions Patrick and he points out that he couldn’t leave her alone after the state he found her in last night. Mia is glad to hear that as she reveals that she dreamt about her mother and that always leaves her feeling terrible.

However, she got lucky last night. Vincent drowns his frustrations with a couple of drinks, whining over how Patrick treated him at the mansion earlier. Not too far away is an already drunk Gemma who passes a snide remark.

Vincent approaches her and once he recognizes her, he introduces himself as Mia’s manager. Gemma slaps him, blaming him for Mia’s return to Maravida before collapsing in his arms.

The patients are dismayed to learn of the suspension of Mia’s literature class. Bella gets all emotional and dramatic, thinking that it’s her fault and Kai strives to soothe her.

At the mansion, Mia sets up her office and gives Matmat a comfortable spot for his drawings. The next day at work, Dr. Anok asks Patrick about his relationship with Mia and the incident with Elvie.

Patrick denies being her boyfriend and reveals what she told Elvie. Dr. Anok recounts Ingrid’s disappearance following the publication of her last book – the k!lling of the witch. Samuel has his hand on a copy of the book, and Zelda shows up and snatches it.

She taunts him and declares that it isn’t over. In his office, Dr. Anok examines Samuel’s patient file, wondering what really happened to his family.

Back at the mansion, Mia asks Matmat to inspire her with an image for her new book. Matmat shows her some of his old drawings and she urges him to think of something else because she won’t be writing about dinosaurs.

Her new story will be about a person who is a safety pin. Later, Vincent visits while Mia is resting in her bedroom, and he’s glad to learn from Matmat that she’s resumed writing.

Patrick attends to Elvie and asks her about Jana (her daughter), and she recounts her death following their estranged relationship. Elvie regrets not being a good mother to Jana.

This brings back memories of how Tessie had burdened Patrick with the responsibility of taking care of his brother at such a young age. Later that night, a quite emotional Patrick confides in Jason and Ms. Li counsels him on the matter, stating that no mother would ever want their child to suffer.

Patrick drops down from a jeepney pretty drunk and he smiles at Mia’s messages without replying. Mia waits for him impatiently and somewhat upset. Patrick soon arrives and Mia is surprised to see that he’s drunk.

Patrick gives her a gift – a little sewn doll called Satsat. Mia is confused by this gesture and Patrick explains that it’s to help chase away the nightmares. Eden and Olivia bond together at a bar, asking each other questions about their lives.

Ms. Li decides to heat some food for her daughter once she wakes up. She recounts Patrick’s visit and goes on about how she seems to have moved on because she’s letting other guys carry her around.

Gemma recalls how Vincent had brought her home, appalled, and her mother lectures her for the embarrassment. Meanwhile, Patrick joins his brother in bed and he breaks down as they take a trip down memory lane.
