Ivy Chances Upon An Unsettling Discovery In Her Search For Evidence In Her Parents’ Mûrdërs.
Julio thanked Ivy for saving Emilia’s life and insisted that she stay with them for the night, so they could care for her as a gesture of gratitude. He left Emilia to attend to Ivy, who told her that she was now part of the family after her heroic act.
However, as soon as everyone was asleep, Ivy snuck out of her room to snoop around for evidence. She went to Diego’s room, where she found her handkerchief with “Lily” engraved on it in his wardrobe. Ivy’s curiosity was piqued, and she decided to investigate further.
She made her way to the office but hid when she heard someone approaching. It was Raul, who immediately got into an argument with Emilia. Emilia accused Raul of being unfaithful and faulted him for turning her into a mûrdërer. Raul retaliated, blaming Emilia for k!lling an entire family, including an innocent girl.
The argument escalated, with Raul choking Emilia until Diego arrived just in time to intervene. Ivy, who had been listening to the argument from outside, hid again. Diego stopped Raul from harming Emilia, but Raul warned her that the issue wasn’t over.
Ivy drove home, boiling with rage after hearing Emilia and Raul’s casual discussion about wiping out her family. As she drove, she was blocked by Madrigal, who she attacked, thinking he was trying to harm her. However, Madrigal hugged her, and Ivy broke down in tears.
It was revealed that Madrigal was Ivy’s childhood friend Jepoy, who had been posing as Arnaldo’s bodyguard to gather information for Ivy. Jepoy had been taken in by Prianka and educated, and he had arrived in Pablocion Ardiente to help Ivy bring down the Ardientes.
Ivy’s emotions were raw, and she let her guard down around Jepoy, who took her home to Nanny Carlota’s care. In the morning, Nanny Carlota found him preparing his gun and he told her that they needed CCTV cameras in the house because it was not safe.
As he had breakfast with Ivy, he asked her to lay low for a while as he searched for her mother’s grave since he already found the henchman that Emilia hired. Arnaldo took breakfast to Ivy but he did not find her in her room. He called her and she said that she had already gone home.
She however put him at ease and assured him that she would invest in the project that Arnaldo wanted to start. When Ivy went over to give Arnaldo the cheque, she asked him how he would deal with the farmers since the project would involve taking their land away and Arnaldo said that there would be no issue.
Ivy thus signed a big cheque and told Arnaldo that she expected to see good results since she had invested a lot of money. She also offered to support Sir Julio in his bid for the senate by holding an auction at the house.
The farmers were worried about Arnaldo’s plans to start an export processing zone on their land and they asked Diego to talk to his family so that they would not lose their land. Diego got the invitation to go to Ivy’s party but he did not want to go.
His nanny however asked him to attend it because they might talk about the export processing project and they should have someone there to tell them what was happening. As Ivy was getting ready, Jepoy came back after finding her mother’s grave. He got a ring from the corpse’s finger to show to Ivy and she got riled up again.
Her nanny asked her to calm down because her guests; including the Ardientes had already arrived. When the Ardientes arrived, Emilia could not help but ogle at the house and Julio told her to stop making it obvious that she wanted the house. He assured her that they would get all of Ivy’s money and the house back in a little while.
They were called to assemble around the landing so that Ivy could make her entrance so they went to the bottom of the stair case.
