Fueled By The Desire To Exact Revenge on the Ardientes, Ivy Cooks Up A Cunning Scheme Against Them.
Ivy’s imagination ran wild as she envisioned shooting all the Ardientes who had gathered downstairs to greet her. She pictured herself firing bullets at Emilia, Raul, Julio, and Arnaldo, leaving them lifeless on the ground. The image was so vivid that she could almost smell the gunpowder and feel the weight of their blood on her hands.
However, she quickly composed herself, pushing aside the dark fantasy to welcome her guests. As the guests gathered at the pool, Ivy graciously welcomed them to her house. She announced her plans to make a generous investment in the town of Ardiente for an export processing plant and expressed her support for Sir Julio’s bid for the senate.
Ivy lavished praise on the Ardientes, citing the town’s reputation for having a zero crime rate for the past 18 years and its potential for business as the reasons she chose to invest. As she mingled with the guests, Ivy couldn’t resist needling Emilia by commenting on her husband’s apparent enjoyment of the company of other women.
She added that she didn’t trust men because they weren’t faithful, and there were only a few good ones left, like Arnaldo. Natalie overheard the conversation and jumped to Arnaldo’s defense, telling Ivy that even if men were faithful, there were still some shameless women who tried to seduce them.
Ivy responded by telling Natalie to take care of her fiancé and excused herself to get ready for the bidding. The guests offered millions of pesos for the properties Ivy had put up for bid, and Diego was appalled by the wasteful spending. He believed the money could be better used to help those in need.
Meanwhile, Ivy entertained the guests with a sensual dance performance that left the men wanting more. Arnaldo couldn’t take his eyes off her, which made Natalie furious. Diego arrived just in time to catch the tail end of the dance. As the bidding came to a close, Arnaldo attempted to force Ivy to dance with him.
However, she told him to let her go before she embarrassed him. Arnaldo relented when Natalie arrived, and Ivy made a pointed comment about liking her toys brand new, not ones that had been used.
After changing into a different outfit, Ivy stepped outside to take a breather and sent a text to Jepoy, asking him to take her to her mother’s grave as soon as the party was over. Diego followed her outside and tripped on the stairs when he saw her. Ivy couldn’t help but smile, remembering how he used to fall when they were children.
She apologized for laughing and hid her face.
As they went back inside, Ivy had a conversation with Natalie’s father, who gave her a cheque for the bid he had won. He expressed his desire to support Julio, citing their long-standing friendship.
Ivy was delighted with the conversation and asked if they could talk more later. The Ardientes eventually left the party, but not before Emilia stayed behind to speak with Ivy. In a shocking display of aggression, Emilia pushed Nanny Carlota to the ground, causing her to get hurt by broken glass.
Ivy rushed to her nanny’s side and helped her up, retaliating against Emilia’s insult by telling her that she didn’t entrust her well-being or her home to anyone she considered stupid.
Emilia smiled tightly and invited Ivy to breakfast the following morning, assuring her that none of her help would ruin her dress. After the Ardientes departed, Ivy told Carlota that she had to leave Pablocion to protect her, but Carlota refused to return to Manila.
