Anirudh says she isn’t Jhanak, but her sister. Jhanak asks what he is saying. Anirudh explains that he got fine after Jhanak did a puja in the temple. The Pandit asks where his wife is, wondering if she didn’t come. Anirudh replies that she can never come again because she is no more. The Pandit expresses shock, saying she was like a Devi. Jhanak says she will go to the puja first. The Pandit then asks whose name she wants to do the puja in, and Jhanak mentions that everything is written in the letter, as the person is her relative. The Pandit agrees to proceed.
Jhanak thinks they are here for the puja, while Anirudh wonders if she is upset with him. He thinks maybe she came to do the puja for him, even though he believes she’s dead. Meanwhile, Dadi and Anjana talk about Choton and Mrinalini’s marriage, and Anjana suggests they will speak to them. The Pandit comments that Jhanak and her sister look exactly alike.
Jhanak thanks him and gives prasad to Anirudh. Anirudh refuses it, explaining that he’s fasting and cannot eat until the puja is complete. Jhanak says it’s no problem; she’ll wait for him. Anirudh performs the puja for Jhanak. The Pandit asks what happened to Jhanak. Anirudh explains she met with an accident, and some people didn’t want her to live. He prepares to leave, and the Pandit tells him that one day, he and his wife will unite, and his heart says so.
Both Anirudh and Jhanak exchange prasad, apply tika to each other, and share an emotional eyelock. Anirudh wonders if the Pandit’s words will come true in the next life. Jhanak asks what he is thinking, and Anirudh replies that he will drop her off. She declines, saying it’s okay. Bipasha talks to Lal about Nutan claiming she is Brij’s daughter and wonders if she might be Jhanak. Lal dismisses this thought, and Bipasha taunts Anjana. Lal tells Dadi, who sees a picture of the girl and says she looks like Jhanak.
Anjana recalls Bablu’s insult and is troubled by the revelation. Dadi instructs her to sit down, and Bipasha mentions Brij and Nutan. Tanuja wonders if they might be twin sisters. Bipasha expresses doubts. Choton and Mrinalini return home, overhearing the discussion about Jhanak. Bipasha says she is simply sharing her feelings with the family, but Tanuja says they had no affection for Jhanak. Choton taunts Bipasha, and Lal claims that Jhanak ruined them. Choton is confused by the comment.
Dadi says she doesn’t want to hear Jhanak’s name in the house anymore because she’s passed away. Tanuja says she’s going to her room, and Dadi agrees. Tanuja, Bipasha, and Lal leave. Arshi sees Anirudh with Nutan in his car and approaches them. She asks if there’s a special occasion today. Anirudh responds that it’s a good day, so he came to pray. Arshi assumes he came to pray for them and mentions how they spent the night together, making promises.
Anirudh asks what promise she’s talking about, but Arshi teases him about getting shy in front of Nutan. Jhanak watches them. Arshi then pulls Jhanak aside and says that they were distant before, but now all the distance is gone. They united, and now they are planning a baby. She asks when Anirudh and Jhanak are getting married. Jhanak responds that she will invite Arshi when she marries. Arshi offers to drop Jhanak off, but Jhanak refuses, stating they have a competition, and she will go on her own. Arshi disagrees but wishes her a happy married life.
Arshi then asks Anirudh to go home and take rest. Anjana speaks to Choton and Mrinalini, wanting to know when they’re getting married. Choton says it depends on Mrinalini, who suggests they save money first. Choton agrees, sharing a story, while Mrinalini asks him to finish his graduation first, then they can get married. Choton agrees with that plan. Arshi returns home and is asked by Vinayak to bring her in-laws to the party. Arshi replies that they will come.
Shrishti notices Arshi is in a bad mood and asks if everything is okay with her and Anirudh. Arshi says that Vinayak and she are good friends now, and Vinayak mentions planning a surprise for her tomorrow. Arshi says she enjoyed spending time with Jethu, but Shrishti teases her about reminding her of their past. Vinayak thinks of the surprise.
