No Greater Love Episode 18

“Samuel is brutally beaten after Gonzalo catches him with Isabel and destroys their hideout. Even so, the couple refuses to give up on their love as Rebecca secretly arranges Isabel’s escape”

The episode begins with Isabel bringing breakfast to the workers and happily sitting down to eat with them. Meanwhile, Maximo speaks with the man assigned to inspect Isabel’s school building and tells him it is no longer necessary since Gonzalo can handle it because he is trustworthy.

The man agrees, while Samuel secretly watches them from a distance. Franco confronts Isabel and tells her that Samuel is not worth sacrificing herself for. He tries to badmouth Samuel, but Isabel refuses to listen and boldly tells Franco that Samuel is a far better man than he is, leaving Franco deeply hurt.

Elsewhere, Elena sells food to the employees at Eduardo’s office. Eduardo offers to buy everything as a treat for the workers and, after tasting her cooking again, fondly recalls how good a cook she used to be. As Elena leaves, she runs into Miranda, who had witnessed the interaction.

Miranda immediately insults Elena and warns her to stay away from Eduardo, even bringing up Luis being gay. Maximo overhears the conversation and orders one of his men to investigate Elena’s pregnancy from years ago, wanting to stay ahead of Miranda.

At the construction site, Franco offers Isabel a ride home, but she refuses. Suddenly, a vehicle crashes into the building, causing part of it to collapse. Samuel quickly saves Isabel before she gets hurt. Later, Samuel informs Eduardo that Maximo refused to let their people inspect the site as instructed.

Eduardo questions Maximo about it, and Maximo explains that Gonzalo had already assured him the matter was under control. Gonzalo backs him up, but Eduardo remains suspicious and says the incident will be investigated.

Back at home, Isabel tells her mother how Samuel saved her life once again and says she now owes him everything. She questions why Rebecca continues to oppose their relationship, but Rebecca explains that in families like theirs, love is never the priority.

Isabel sadly asks why others should decide their happiness. She asks permission to visit Samuel, but Rebecca quietly ignores the request and simply wishes her goodnight before leaving.

Meanwhile, Gonzalo angrily accuses Maximo of betraying him. Maximo reminds him that they are both already involved in too much trouble to turn against each other. Gonzalo threatens to expose not only the truth about the school incident but also what happened to Eduardo if Maximo ever betrays him again.

Maximo quickly shifts the blame toward Samuel. Franco later visits Gonzalo and reveals that he suspects something romantic is going on between Samuel and Isabel. He also tells him about their close childhood friendship.

Isabel sneaks out of the mansion to meet Samuel, unaware that Gonzalo and Franco are secretly following her. The lovers share a tender moment together until Gonzalo suddenly appears with Franco and several men, catching them kissing.

Samuel bravely admits that he and Isabel are in love and says that even death would not change their feelings for each other. Furious, Gonzalo punches Samuel and declares he will never allow him to have his daughter.

Gonzalo drags Isabel away while his men brutally beat Samuel. Franco leaves with Gonzalo, seemingly satisfied with Samuel’s suffering. The men then burn down the little shelter Samuel had built for himself and Isabel, forcing him to helplessly watch it go up in flames despite his injuries.

Back at the mansion, Gonzalo furiously accuses Isabel of disgracing the family by loving a worker. Isabel fearlessly admits that she loves Samuel and repeatedly screams it at her father, pushing Gonzalo to slap her before locking her inside a wardrobe.

Franco attempts to intervene but ends up accidentally getting hit in the face by Gonzalo, leaving his nose bleeding. Rebecca desperately tries to comfort her trapped daughter. Samuel is eventually brought home in terrible condition.

Elena is horrified when she sees his injuries. After hearing what happened, she angrily scolds him before storming out. Elsewhere, Maximo becomes furious over the scandal, while Franco insists Samuel should be blamed for everything.

Maximo worries more about the family’s reputation if people discover Isabel is involved with a worker, while Miranda only cares about protecting Franco and refuses to let Elena’s son take what she believes belongs to him.

After Isabel is finally released from the wardrobe, she remains deeply worried about Samuel’s condition. Rebecca tries to calm her down and advises her to obey her father, but Isabel refuses and even asks her mother to help her escape from the mansion.

Meanwhile, Eduardo’s family informs him about Samuel and Isabel’s relationship and everything that happened. Eduardo, however, remains calm and tells them they cannot force Isabel to love someone she does not love.

Rebecca later tries to reason with Gonzalo, but he is far too angry to listen and swears he will never allow Isabel to end up with Samuel. Elena suddenly arrives at the mansion and furiously confronts Gonzalo for hurting her son simply because he fell in love with Isabel, who also loves him back.

Gonzalo angrily reminds Elena of her place and threatens to have her arrested for barging into his house, but Elena fearlessly challenges him about who should really be arrested for assaulting Samuel. Their confrontation grows heated, but Gonzalo refuses to back down.

At home, Mona tends to Samuel’s wounds while Miranda continues arguing with Eduardo for still supporting Samuel. Elena later returns home and once again scolds Samuel, wondering when he will finally learn his lesson before his love for Isabel gets him k!lled.

Rebecca eventually brings Isabel to visit Samuel. Elena is initially furious, but Rebecca explains that Isabel desperately wanted to see him. Isabel tearfully apologizes to Elena for constantly putting Samuel in danger because of their relationship.

Rebecca admits that what Samuel and Isabel share is genuine love and that separating them may be impossible. Inside, Isabel hugs Samuel and apologizes for everything he has suffered.

Samuel reassures her that no matter what happens, he will never give up on her and asks her not to give up on him either. Isabel promises she never will. Samuel and Isabel later face their families together, where Samuel openly confirms their relationship and apologizes for all the trouble it has caused.

Damien supports him, while Mona quietly walks away in tears. Lupe follows her, and Mona heartbreakingly wonders why Samuel chose Isabel instead of her. Lupe gently explains that the heart chooses who it loves, and Samuel’s heart simply chose Isabel.

Back at the mansion, Gonzalo informs Isabel that in just a few days she will officially become engaged to Franco because that is what the Hidalgos want.

Isabel asks what about her own wishes, but Gonzalo coldly replies that he alone decides her future and that one day she will thank him for saving her from a miserable life. Rebecca secretly promises Isabel that she will find a way to help her escape.

Eduardo later visits Samuel and assures him that he will not allow anything to happen to him or his family. Meanwhile, Miranda arrives at the Miravelez mansion to discuss engagement party preparations and asks Isabel to participate.

Isabel refuses, but Miranda calmly blames her for hurting Franco after everything he has done for her and subtly warns her not to cause more pain. Later, Rebecca reveals her escape plan to Isabel. On the day of the engagement, Isabel will secretly leave and hide somewhere no one can find her.

Rebecca promises to remain behind to avoid suspicion and later join her daughter when the opportunity comes.Isabel writes a letter explaining everything to Samuel and asks Rebecca to deliver it, which she does. Samuel reads the letter while Mona is nearby and learns about Isabel’s situation.

Meanwhile, Franco visits Isabel with gifts and tries to reconnect with her, asking if they can go back to how happy they once were in London. Isabel accuses him of selfishly trying to force himself into her life, but when she notices Gonzalo watching them from behind, she stops arguing and reluctantly accepts the gifts.
