No Greater Love Episode 17

“Franco exposes Mona’s lie, leading Isabel to confess she was with Samuel during the shooting. Despite the growing pressure from their families, Samuel and Isabel refuse to stay apart.”

The episode begins with Maximo pulling Gonzalo aside to discuss their latest problem , Samuel has been released. Gonzalo is furious, believing Romeo’s death would have been enough to bury the case.

Maximo explains that Isabel played a role in Samuel’s release and urges Gonzalo to control his daughter since she should be supporting their side. He also mentions that Franco is still investigating the matter, prompting Gonzalo to pressure Maximo into acting faster before everything spirals out of control.

Meanwhile, Franco confronts Mona and accuses her of lying. Mona insists she was with Samuel when the shooting happened, explaining that they were heading to the quarters when they heard the gunshot. She sarcastically asks if it is now a crime to walk with her boyfriend.

Franco bursts into laughter, convinced she is lying, but Mona fires back, reminding him that out of the four of them, he has always been the biggest liar. Franco is left speechless. Elsewhere, Isabel visits Samuel and hugs him tearfully, admitting she almost told the truth.

Mona’s interruption, however, prevented her from doing so, something Samuel is grateful for because he does not want Isabel getting into trouble. Although he now has to pretend to be with Mona, Samuel reassures Isabel that she will always be the one he truly loves.

Their emotional moment is interrupted when the Severinos arrive, forcing Isabel to leave. Outside, Mona confronts Isabel and warns her to stay away from Samuel for his own safety. Isabel acknowledges that danger surrounds Samuel but refuses to give up on him.

Mona accuses her of behaving like a typical rich girl, leading Isabel to question why she is acting so bitter.  Mona finally admits the truth,  she is in love with Samuel and believes Isabel is the reason he has never noticed her feelings. Despite Mona’s accusations, Isabel remains determined to fight for her relationship with Samuel.

At the same time, Eduardo is informed about tighter security arrangements. Juancho explains that every worker with a criminal record has been removed from the estate except Samuel. Franco is outraged that Samuel was spared, believing he should have been the first to go.

Eduardo calmly reveals that keeping Samuel was his own decision. Maximo loses his temper, insisting Samuel is the prime suspect, but Eduardo refuses to be manipulated and continues defending Samuel’s innocence. When Maximo warns Eduardo that he is feeding and raising a snake, Eduardo counters that the real snake is not Samuel.

Gonzalo later confronts Isabel about her connection with Samuel, especially after claiming she saw him with Mona. Rebecca quickly interrupts and explains that Isabel merely ran into them by accident. Gonzalo warns Isabel to stop meddling in the workers’ affairs and think carefully about her actions.

Meanwhile, Elena questions Mona about why she lied to protect Samuel. Mona explains that she could not bear seeing him suffer, but when Elena presses her to reveal who Samuel was truly with, Mona refuses to answer.

Samuel later thanks Mona once again for saving him, though he still refuses to give up Isabel despite Mona encouraging him to do so. At the same time, Isabel argues with her mother and also refuses to walk away from her love for Samuel.

Elsewhere, Gonzalo is being pressured by the bank to pay off his massive loan. Pacquito reminds him that he would have been financially secure had Franco and Isabel already gotten married, but Gonzalo insists he cannot force either the children or Miranda. His main concern now is finding a way to pay the debt.

Later, Gonzalo meets Franco to discuss Samuel, and together they become even more determined to make the marriage between Franco and Isabel happen. Isabel secretly sneaks out again, but Rebecca notices and follows her. Rebecca watches from a distance as Isabel meets Samuel.

Samuel passionately confesses how deeply he loves her and vows to fight for their relationship no matter what. As the couple smiles and kisses, Rebecca quietly questions whether she has been trying to take away her daughter’s true happiness. Overcome with guilt, she silently apologizes while watching them lovingly from afar.

Back at home, Rebecca breaks down emotionally, realizing she may be destroying Isabel’s happiness. She finally decides she will no longer interfere in their relationship.

Meanwhile, Samuel and Isabel promise each other they will never stop loving one another, with Samuel vowing to he’ll do everything to make sure everyone sees both of him and Isabel as equal.

Miranda later visits Rebecca to discuss the children’s engagement, while Maximo ordersJuancho to send Samuel over just to serve coffee. Both Maximo and Gonzalo openly taunt Samuel when he arrives.

Elsewhere, Eduardo meets Calixto, who shares what he knows about his father’s death and reveals that the men who took Romeo were police officers. Feeling sympathy for him, Eduardo gives Calixto money to help him start a new life.

Meanwhile, Elena hires someone to investigate the Severinos. The investigator eventually arrives with information regarding Samuel’s father, Luis. Miranda becomes curious and asks for a deeper investigation into Luis’s past.

Eduardo later assigns Samuel to a better position, believing in his kindness and potential despite Samuel insisting he does not deserve it. Samuel later returns home and proudly gives his first salary to Elena, though she encourages him to save it instead.

He also shares the news of his new assignment,  overseeing the school Isabel is building. Mona views it as bad luck because Eduardo was shot there, but Lupe disagrees. At the construction site, Isabel spots Samuel and follows him to their secret meeting place.

Franco notices and questions where she is going, but Isabel responds sarcastically before leaving. She reunites with Samuel, but Franco suddenly catches them together and accuses them of secretly meeting there all along.

Before Samuel and Isabel can explain themselves, Mona arrives and immediately kisses Samuel on the cheek while acting affectionate toward him. She casually explains to Franco that the three of them had simply decided to hang out together like they did as children and even invites Franco to join them.

Franco can only ask Isabel to leave with him, while Isabel silently watches Mona standing too close to Samuel. Later, Franco questions Isabel about Mona and Samuel, but Isabel insists there is nothing strange about their closeness since they have been best friends since childhood.

However, Franco suddenly recalls Mona claiming she was with Samuel in the quarters the night Eduardo was shot. “Checkmate,” Franco says with a smirk as realization dawns on him.

Meanwhile, Miranda investigates Luis’s past by speaking to his mother and former neighbors. One woman shockingly reveals that everyone once believed Luis was gay, making it supposedly impossible for him to have fathered a child.

After returning home with Isabel, Franco informs the family that he has uncovered a new lead in his investigation. He exposes Mona’s false statement, leading to both Samuel and Mona being arrested. Samuel desperately begs the authorities not to involve Mona, but they accuse her of obstruction for lying.

Maximo and Franco take pleasure in mocking them. Just then, Isabel arrives and reveals the truth, Samuel and Mona lied because they were protecting her. She finally confesses that Samuel was actually with her when Eduardo was shot.

Franco is furious and demands to know why she kept quiet all this time. Isabel explains that she believed Mona’s lie would be enough to save Samuel. Maximo refuses to have them released, arguing that they still committed a crime by lying to authorities.

Isabel boldly responds that they should arrest her as well since she is equally involved. Gonzalo is outraged by his daughter’s defiance, while Franco looks heartbroken by her confession.

Later, Franco vents his frustration over Samuel being free yet again while Eduardo advises him not to force Isabel into loving someone she does not want. Back at home, Gonzalo furiously scolds Isabel for continuing to associate with Samuel despite his warnings.

He announces that she will now be heavily guarded and constantly watched. Isabel bitterly responds that the mansion has always felt like a prison since childhood, which is why she was even willing to go to jail.

Gonzalo becomes even angrier and warns Rebecca about the consequences if he ever discovers she knew about Isabel seeing Samuel.
Meanwhile, Samuel returns home and tells Elena everything that happened, increasing her fears about his dangerous involvement with Isabel.

Rebecca also scolds Isabel for dragging herself into Samuel and Mona’s mess, but Isabel insists she could not stand by and watch innocent people suffer when she had the power to help.

Both Samuel and Isabel receive advice from their mothers at their respective homes, yet neither is willing to let go of their love. In the end, Rebecca announces to Isabel that they will be leaving for Manila now that Eduardo has recovered.
