“Isabel hides at the Severinos’ place as the search for her intensifies and pressure builds to find her. In the end, she decides to leave, but she and Samuel reconcile and share a heartfelt k!$$”

Elena and Lupe were brought to the Hidalgo mansion, where Elena was surprised to learn that Miranda had summoned them. Miranda offered them food, which Lupe gladly accepted, but Elena refused. As a maid led Lupe to the kitchen, Elena stayed behind to speak with Miranda.

Elena demanded to know why Miranda had called them there, certain it was not simply to feed them. Miranda admitted she wanted to apologize, surprising Elena since Miranda had previously insulted them as mere farmers and servants.

With a taunting smile, Miranda asked whether Elena was still holding a grudge, especially considering Elena’s past with Eduardo. Miranda continued mocking Elena, saying she was welcome in the Hidalgo home, as long as she did not steal anything.

Refusing to entertain her further, Elena excused herself, but not before sarcastically remarking that Miranda had dressed up just to see her, and that it was unnecessary. While searching for Lupe so they could leave, Elena was stopped by Franco, who recognized her as Samuel’s mother.

He spoke of losing Isabel and asked Elena to inform him if she saw her. Elena agreed and left. Elsewhere, Rebecca was still in tears as Gonzalo tried to comfort her. She asked whether he still intended to force Isabel to marry Franco when she returned. Gonzalo reminded Rebecca that Isabel was also his daughter and that he cared for her.

Meanwhile, Elena ran into Eduardo, who asked whether Isabel might be in Salvacion, knowing of her childhood friendship with Samuel. Elena replied that their friendship had happened long ago. Eduardo mockingly said he did not even know why he asked, since he could never be sure she would tell him the truth.

Miranda secretly watched the entire exchange. At home, Elena urged Isabel to return to her parents, knowing how worried they must be. Isabel refused, begging to stay until her injured foot healed. She promised she would leave once she recovered.

At the same time, Pacquito reported to Gonzalo that the search for Isabel had failed. Gonzalo guessed Isabel was still in Salvacion and ordered every house searched. When Mona visited the Severino family, she was displeased to find Isabel there. Samuel explained that Isabel could not leave because of her ankle injury.

Mona privately expressed concern, mentioning that Franco had already asked her about Isabel’s whereabouts. Samuel thanked her for saying nothing and joked that he did not know she had such goodness in her. He believed Isabel might help them after seeing their living conditions.

Mona teasingly asked if that was the only reason he wanted Isabel to stay, or if he simply loved having her around. Samuel playfully ruffled her hair instead of answering. Later, the workers asked Samuel what he had discovered.

He revealed that the plantation was indeed profitable, meaning they had been cheated all along. As they discussed what to do next, Isabel secretly overheard them. Afterward, Isabel angrily confronted Samuel and defended her father.

Samuel snapped that she knew nothing about her father after being gone for so long. Isabel accused Samuel of being the one who changed, saying she had hoped he would come to see her before she left years ago because she believed he valued their friendship. He never came.

Samuel explained himself and insisted he had never forgotten her. Instead, he accused her of forgetting him. Isabel cut the argument short, saying she needed to rest. Samuel apologized if he had offended her and hoped she would forgive him.

The next morning, Elena suggested informing the Miravelez family that Isabel was there, but Trinidad opposed the idea. She believed Isabel was suffering internally, even if she said nothing.

At breakfast, Eduardo questioned Miranda about why Elena had been at the mansion. Miranda claimed it was charity practice for an event she planned to host next month. Later, Maximo scolded Miranda, saying he had already told her everything about Elena.

Miranda insisted there was still more to uncover, and Maximo warned her that Eduardo would not like her meddling. Meanwhile, Pacquito announced that every worker’s house would be searched. To Samuel’s annoyance, Pacquito chose his house first. Isabel quickly hid while Pacquito searched but found nothing.

After he left, Samuel found Isabel struggling to breathe in her hiding spot. He comforted her, reminding her that she still feared enclosed spaces. Isabel thanked him for protecting her and said he was still the same person who once took away her fears.

Pacquito later informed Gonzalo that the workers’ homes had yielded nothing. Gonzalo grew suspicious and wondered which farm worker had dared to defy him by helping Isabel. Later, the Miravelez and Hidalgo families discussed Isabel’s disappearance.

Gonzalo suspected kidnapping, but Eduardo disagreed. Maximo questioned who would dare challenge their family. Gonzalo then decided to set a trap that would force Isabel out of hiding. Isabel watched Samuel teaching children and joined him.

Saddened by the kids lifestyle, she listened as Samuel explained the workers’ struggles and hoped she would help them by speaking to her parents. Mona later confronted Isabel, asking when she planned to leave.

She warned that Isabel’s continued presence would only bring trouble to Samuel and reminded her how much Samuel had already suffered simply for being Isabel’s childhood friend. Isabel, confused, asked if Mona was angry.

Mona denied it, saying she only wanted Isabel to understand the situation. Elsewhere, Maximo found Franco playing chess. Seeing his grandson miserable, he warned him not to let his life revolve around one woman. Franco replied it was already too late and swore he would find Isabel.

Using his chess pieces symbolically, he vowed either to find Isabel himself or drive her out of her hiding place. Franco then went to Samuel’s home, convinced Isabel was there. The children blocked his way, while Samuel asked what he wanted.Franco said Isabel was one of Samuel’s few friends, so she must be with him.

One child mentioned seeing “the teacher.” Samuel quickly said they would see her tomorrow. Franco demanded to know which teacher, and Mona stepped outside. Samuel introduced her as the teacher. Franco  asked if she was a teacher now, and Mona reluctantly agreed. Franco then left.

Later, Isabel told Samuel she had decided to leave. Samuel worried he had done something wrong, but she said no. Her ankle was healing, and at least now they could say a proper goodbye. She later met her nanny in disguise, who begged her to come home because everyone was worried. Isabel refused but gave her a letter for Rebecca.

Isabel sold some jewelry as she needs the money. However, two women recognized her, forcing her to leave quickly. Miranda later summoned Samuel and questioned him about his life. Samuel spoke honestly about his family, his late father, and growing up as a worker.

Miranda asked whether he got his courage from his father. Samuel replied that his father had been quiet, but his compassion for workers came from being raised by his mother and grandparents among them. Miranda said she knew someone who thought exactly like him.

Meanwhile, Soledad gave Rebecca Isabel’s letter. Rebecca broke down in tears while reading it. Before leaving the mansion, Samuel ran into Franco, who offered him one last chance to confess if Isabel was hiding with him. Franco promised not to punish him if he told the truth.

Samuel denied it and even invited Franco to search his house again. Franco declined but warned Samuel he would regret lying. Samuel remained calm. Later, Samuel admitted to Calixto that Isabel had been staying with them and was saddened she had left.

Mona, overhearing, was relieved. But when they returned home, they found Isabel there. She explained that Gonzalo’s men were everywhere, making escape impossible. Mona noticed the school supplies and asked where Isabel got the money. Isabel admitted she had pawned her jewelry.

One of the women who had recognized Isabel informed the Miravelez family about seeing Isabel and she was disguised as a worker. Gonzalo later angrily declared that once he found Isabel, she would marry Franco whether she liked it or not. Rebecca defended her daughter and reminded him that Franco was the reason Isabel ran away. Gonzalo ignored her.

Mona and Samuel later argued over Isabel’s presence. Mona remained unhappy, while Samuel was hopeful Isabel would now help them after seeing their reality. At the same time, Maximo again warned Miranda to stop investigating Elena and Samuel.

Even after learning that Samuel’s father had died when he was young, Miranda still believed there was more to the story. Maximo warned she could lose Eduardo if she continued. Elena worried to Samuel that Isabel staying longer could bring disaster, but Samuel reassured her everything would be fine.

Elsewhere, Rebecca blamed herself for failing to protect Isabel from Gonzalo. She admitted that fear was why she had once sent Isabel to London and said Isabel should never have returned. As Isabel spent more time with Samuel, the two grew closer.

Gonzalo intensified the search, determined that Isabel would not leave Salvacion without being found. Elena was happy to see Isabel smiling again but warned her that the longer she stayed, the greater the danger became. Gonzalo’s men searched every worker’s home again.

Samuel managed to hide Isabel, and the men found nothing. Later, Mona angrily blamed Isabel for putting them all in danger. Samuel defended Isabel, but Isabel sadly admitted she had overstayed her welcome. She confessed she had found happiness there, which only made Mona angrier.

Gonzalo, meanwhile, found the letter Isabel had sent Rebecca and was furious as he keep on hitting her on the head while vowing that Isabel would marry Franco. Hurt by Mona’s words, Isabel decided to return home, believing Mona was right. Samuel offered to accompany her, but she chose to go alone.

Franco told Maximo he was certain Isabel was hiding with Samuel and promised revenge if proven right. That night, Isabel followed a firefly outside. Samuel awoke, noticed she was gone, and followed her. He found her in tears. Isabel said she wanted to make a wish so everything could return to the way it once was.

She apologized for bringing danger to him and his family. Samuel apologized for abandoning their friendship years ago. Isabel wished they could regain what they once had. Samuel promised they would revive it together. Isabel tearfully admitted she did not want to lose him again.

“Isabel, you’re never going to lose me again,” Samuel promised as he wiped away her tears. Then the two kissed, with memories of their childhood flashing through. They ended the kiss in a warm embrace.
