No Greater Love Episode 3

“Samuel exposes the truth about saving Isabel, while Franco learns the painful truth that he is not Eduardo’s real son.”

The episode begins with Pacquito having a man dragged by a horse. Gonzalo arrives and Pacquito informs him that the man is responsible for the fire at the Hidalgo ranch. Gonzalo warns him to be absolutely certain, threatening that if he is wrong again, Pacquito will face the same punishment.

Pacquito confidently insists the man is guilty.
Gonzalo recognizes the man as Romeo, the same person who previously came to ask him for money. As Romeo is beaten, the children arrive. Gonzalo asks Franco to confirm if Romeo is the culprit, since he claims to have saved Isabel.

Franco identifies Romeo before quickly leaving. Samuel chases after Franco, begging him to take back his words because Romeo is innocent. Franco refuses, saying he doesn’t want to look like a liar.

When Samuel threatens to reveal the truth, Franco snaps, asking if he would throw away their friendship over a mere worker. Samuel reminds him that he is a worker too and expresses disbelief that Franco would endanger others just to protect his lie.

Samuel returns to where Romeo is being punished and tries to claim that Romeo is innocent, but Gonzalo refuses to believe him due to supposed evidence. Elena arrives and tries to pull Samuel away to keep him out of trouble, but Samuel insists on speaking the truth.

He confesses that he was the one who saved Isabel. At that moment, Eduardo arrives and questions Franco. Franco denies Samuel’s claim and insists he was the one who rescued Isabel.

Isabel then arrives and reveals that she gave her rescuer a handkerchief. Samuel produces the handkerchief, confirming that he was indeed the one who saved her.

Later, Elena scolds Samuel for getting involved, reminding him why she warned him to stay away from the wealthy. Meanwhile, Eduardo is furious with Franco for lying and looking down on the workers.

Franco accuses his father of always believing others over him, saying he did everything to make him proud, including befriending Samuel, yet feels unappreciated. In anger, Franco declares that he hates his father before running off.

Elsewhere, the Miravelez family discusses the incident. Gonzalo remarks that this is typical of the Hidalgos, taking credit for work they didn’t do. His father questions how he plans to repay Samuel for saving Isabel, but Gonzalo dismisses the idea.

Instead, he is advised to treat his workers better, as their support helped Eduardo win the elections.
Meanwhile, Samuel confronts Mona about telling Eduardo the truth. She admits she only wanted to help.

Fearing she has damaged their friendship, Mona becomes upset, but Samuel reassures her that she will always be his friend. Miranda tries to comfort Franco, who believes his father doesn’t love him because he didn’t defend him. She assures him that she will always stand by him.

Later, she speaks to Eduardo, suggesting his behavior toward Franco might be influenced by the fact that Franco is not his biological son. Eduardo firmly denies this, insisting he has always loved Franco, but believes that love must come with discipline.

At the same time, Maximo manipulates Franco, telling him he should never have allowed Samuel to reveal the truth. He urges Franco to apologize to Eduardo, but Franco refuses. Maximo then shocks him by revealing that he is not Eduardo’s real son.

He claims he revealed the truth to push Franco to fight for his father’s trust and love. Miranda later confronts her father for exposing the secret, but Maximo insists it was necessary to toughen Franco.

He reminds her of the sacrifices made for her to marry Eduardo and warns her not to become too comfortable, as everything could be lost someday. In an act of gratitude for saving Isabel, Rebecca makes the Severino family permanent workers and gives them a place to stay.

Elena is moved to tears by this gesture. Samuel later returns Isabel’s handkerchief, but she tells him to keep it and promises they will always be friends. As they play, Gonzalo sees them and warns Samuel never to step foot in his house again. He also forbids Isabel from associating with him.

Franco later apologizes to his father, promising to do better. Meanwhile, the Severino family is shown their new home, and they are overjoyed. Gonzalo scolds Pacquito for his failure, but Pacquito defends himself, saying Samuel ruined his plan.

He questions why Gonzalo would even protect the boy. Gonzalo explains that he cannot afford to look bad in front of others and orders Pacquito to keep a close eye on Samuel, noting that the boy is not easily manipulated.

Pacquito then smugly reveals that no one knows the real culprit behind the fire being himself(Gonzalo). Samuel is saddened by the loss of his friendship with Franco, but Mona encourages him, saying that if Franco is truly his friend, he will eventually understand. She urges Samuel to focus on his dreams.

Meanwhile, Franco seeks sympathy from Isabel, telling her she is the only friend he has left. The four children meet again at the old mansion, but Franco insults Samuel and declares that they are no longer the same, emphasizing Samuel’s poor background.

Samuel is heartbroken, having valued their friendship, but Franco insists it ended when Samuel “betrayed” him. At home, Isabel expresses her disappointment in Franco’s behavior, but he remains indifferent and warns her to stay away from Samuel, even threatening to report her if she doesn’t comply.

Later, Miranda suggests forming an alliance with the Miravelez family to strengthen their influence and create more job opportunities. Eduardo agrees, and they formalize the partnership with Gonzalo.

Isabel secretly meets Samuel, but he tells her it’s best they stay apart. She refuses, insisting they will always be friends. As days pass, Isabel continues visiting the old mansion in hopes of seeing Samuel, but he avoids her, watching from a distance.

One day, while chasing a firefly in her room to make a wish, she falls. Samuel rushes to comfort her as she cries. Franco considers telling Gonzalo but is stopped by Rebecca.

Samuel reassures Isabel that they are still friends, even if they cannot see each other often. Meanwhile, Rebecca informs Gonzalo of her plan to send Isabel abroad for her studies, and he agrees.

Later, as Franco plays chess, he recalls Rebecca’s request to keep quiet about Isabel and Samuel. With a smirk, he declares, “Checkmate.”
