Arnaldo’s Last Ditch Attempt To Ruin Lily’s Happiness Becomes Deadly. Julio & Emilia Shatter Are Left In Shambles.
Arnaldo struts into the room with his gun pointed at Lily, warning her to be quiet if she doesn’t want him to blow her dear husband to kingdom come. He covers her mouth with his hand, saying that it’s time for him to have his honeymoon.
Like seriously? Arnaldo’s dirty lips go roaming around her neck as he has his gun still trained on Diego who’s still sleeping peacefully. Suddenly, Lily disarms him and calls out to sleeping beauty over there, and Arnaldo rewards her with a backhanded slap, rendering her semiconscious.
Diego jerks awake and somehow connects a perfectly placed kick to Arnaldo’s head, knocking him down. He goes to check up on his dear wife and Arnaldo who’s all business now, grabs a shrapnel of glass and stabs him in the side.
As he tries to finish the job with another stäb to the neck, Lily recovers and intervenes. She said wrestles with him and they’re both launched through the glass window and out into the cold rain.
Lily struggles to her feet and makes a run for it, evading Arnaldo who’s hot on her tail. Eventually, Arnaldo catches up with her and manhandles her with slaps and punches like he’s fighting his fellow man.
Getting dirty in the mud, he declares that she’s all his now. As Lily strives to struggle and resist, Diego materializes with the gun and he actually fires off warning shots before kicking his brother away from his wife.
Arnaldo comes at him and it’s a ridiculous and literally dirty fistfight between the brothers. It’s give-and-take for a while until Arnaldo plays dirty by jabbing his hand into Diego’s wound. Arnaldo then retrieves his gun and takes aim.
Lily and Diego are left pleading with him to stop. When Arnaldo declares that he’ll never let them be happy, Lily dares him to go ahead and pull the trigger. If he wants to k!ll his brother, then she’ll gladly join him in the afterlife because he’s the one she loves.
Lily then curses at Arnaldo, ranting over his evil and atrocities and declaring that no one would ever løve a monster like him. Arnaldo starts to come undone as memories of the black wedding and other instances come to mind.
Crying out in agony, he fires off one single shot. Lily and Diego are shocked to see Arnaldo fall by his own hand. Julio goes to see his grandson’s remains at the morgue and he’s inconsolable over his loss. There’ll be hell to pay, that’s for sure.
At the psych ward, Emilia is told that her son is dead and she lashes out at the guard, telling him that he’s gone crazy. After dismissing him, Emilia recalls her son’s last visit and as it dawns on her, she cries out, calling her husband and mother’s name.
She then breaks down. Diego blabbers to the people about his brother’s unfortunate fate, going on about how he wished he could have saved him. He states that at least his actions is a recompense for all of his crimes.
He excuses himself to head inside and Lily takes the floor for a lecture on the loss of løved ones. Julio takes the ugly weeping and lamentation from the morgue, all the way home, quite devastated over the loss of his “only hope” like he’s a saint or something.
He brandishes his gun and raises it all the way up there. Ironically, a series of gunshots startles Emilia and some other townsfolk. The gunshots sends Emilia into a frenzy and another full-on breakdown.
People begin gossiping about where the sound is coming from – the governor’s mansion where Julio continues to weep bitterly. Diego beats himself up over his brothers wretched fate and Lily consoles him.
In no time, Julio leads a parade through town with his grandson’s body and he eventually lays him to rest, with Emilia (wait that was her spirit) and their sympathizers in attendance.
Lily and her camp watch the show safely, in the comfort of their home. The Ardientes aren’t having that though as they send them some gifts – two coffins with wreathes and Julio’s name signed on top.
An upset Camia tries to approach the coffins but Lily stops her. Diego realizes a moment too late and as he sounds the alarm, the coffins explode together with the guards standing nearby.
On live TV, Julio plays on the pathetic emotions of his supporters, painting Lily and Diego as the real criminals and the k!ller of their beloved mayor. The people fall for it hook, line and sinker and begin crying out for justice.
They take their whining to Lily’s place for a demonstration. In an interesting turn of events, Emelia has another moment of insanity where she’s talking to invisible dragon ladies, her mother and her husband.
Cue in Julio who urges her to snap out of the nonsense because her son was mürdered by Lily and Diego. Emilia breaks down as Julio urges her to help him get justice for Arnaldo.
Meanwhile, Julio’s supporters continue to protest outside Lily’s house and a suspicious figure passing by begins asking people around questions.
Helena and Arnoldo visit Emilia’s dreams, charging her to snap out of her insanity and make their enemies pay. Emilia wakes up with a start and looks on, her countenance full of malevolence.
