Lily and Diego Exchange Vows in Secret While Arnaldo Arrives with a Gun to Destroy Their Holy Matrimony.
Jepoy is mesmerized when he sees Ana all dolled up for the wedding and they’re left staring at each other for a while. As Jepoy starts approaching her, Marlon shows up out of nowhere and obstructs him. And then there’s another round of exchange of looks and stares.
Diego puts on his suit and straightens his cufflinks, jaw tight with nerves and a grin fighting to break through. He takes a deep breath, and stares at photos of his late parents, hoping that they’ll join him on his special day.
Meanwhile, Lily sits still as the makeup brush dusts her cheekbones, eyes closed, smiling softly. She opens them and goes to check out her gown and flower bouquet. Lily stares at her family photo before holding it close to her heart.
Magbanua calls Arnaldo on the phone to inform him that his men have finally tracked down Lily in the town of Rosario. Lily walks down the aisle, bouquet trembling in her hands, eyes locked on Diego. He exhales when he sees her, emotion breaking across his face.
As they stand before the priest, the world blurs and memories flash — their first awkward laugh, their justice crusade, the serene night Diego dropped to one knee, ring shaking, voice cracking out “Will you?” Back in the present, the chapel goes quiet.
Hands clasped tight, thumbs brushing tears away, the couple promise forever as the people they love watch, crying and smiling all at once. Lily doesn’t hold back words as expresses her undying løve for Diego, stating that he’s one of the few good things in her life.
Voices low but steady, they exchange heartfelt vows spearheaded by the priest, much to the delight of their friends and family. In an interesting turn of events, Arnaldo struts into town leisurely with a gun hidden behind his back.
He finds the chapel where the intimate wedding is being held, arriving just as Lily and Diego are exchanging rings. Upset, Arnaldo whips out his gun and takes aim and as his fingers linger on the trigger, Marlon stands up and unintentional blocks his path.
Cue in a phone call from his beloved grandpa. Anyway, the priest authorizes and blessings the marriage and after opening the floor for you-know-what, Diego takes his sweet time unveiling Lily.
The couple share their first legal ki$$ to the applause and delight of everyone in attendance. Everyone in attendance but Arnaldo who’s unravelling at a safe distance away. His beef? Diego and Lily don’t deserve a happy ending because they made him suffer.
Another phone call comes in from Julio and Arnaldo composes himself and answers. He informs him about the secret marriage, lamenting over how he wasn’t even invited.
Julio urges him to come home before anyone sees him there and Arnaldo gets sentimental as if delivering a farewell message; he apologizes for failing him and thanks him for always taking care of him.
The after-party gets underway as the bride and groom and their løved ones celebrate the special occasion with dancing and drinking. They even watch clips from the wedding before Camia, Ana and the others congratulate them on their union.
Eventually, the newlyweds exchange sweet nothings as they dance solo. Later that night, Lily and Diego get down to business to consummate their marriage. Lily is woken up by the crashing sound of thunder as a storm continues to brew.
She gets out of bed somewhat alarmed. Arnaldo staggers with a drink in one hand, his gun in the other, and it seems the wires in his head have been crossed beyond repair.
Anyway, Lily grabs a vase when she hears noise outside but for some reason, she leaves it on a table. She’s pleasantly surprised to see her father and she hugs him.
Dante is glad that she’s found a life partner but he warns her to be careful because she’s still surrounded by enemies. Firmly, he urges her to wake up because their lives are in danger at the moment.
Lily wakes up for real this time, and seeing Diego still sleeping, she walks around the room, glancing around tentatively. It comes as a shock to her when she notices the deranged Arnaldo standing in the outpouring rain and staring with intensity.
