Brianna Schemes Against Mayi’s Scholarship Opportunity. Kendra Successfully Manipulates Jaime. Police Raid the Sweatshop.
While Mayi is filling out her scholarship application, Brianna snatches it from her and begins talking down at her as usual.
She then drops the paper to spite her and Mayi picks it up.
Lady Prima questions Jaime about what’s been going on with Kendra of late.Apparently, a little birdie told her something about you-know-what.
Jaime isn’t exactly sold on the idea of having a relationship with Kendra and his mother begins blabbering about the many things she’s done for their family.
The next day in school, Brianna doesn’t pass up the chance to discourage Mayi but Mayi remains determined to do her best to get the scholarship. At Triple C, Kendra works her manipulative charm on Jaime and tries to guilt trip him.
On the dday of the scholarship exams, Brianna and her lackeys cook up a calculating scheme to send Mayi into the wrong room for the exams. Somewhere in town, a thief fleeing some neighborhood watchmen is subdued by Nolan.
The handsome young guy arrives at Northshire Academy and hurries to get to the scholarship exams room. In an interesting turn of events, Lillian goes out of her way to acquire solid evidence of the exploitation going on at the sweatshop.
She stealthily makes her way to the back of the building and climbs an opening to take photos of the underage kids working. It doesn’t take long for her to fall onto some empty boxes scattered on the floor, rendering her unconscious if you can believe that.
Anyway, Mayi leaves the wrong when no one shows up after a long time. She runs into Cedric and learns of the actual room. Mayi hurries over but she’s not allowed to write since she’s already too late. Nolan is already inside with the other kids.
When Lillian regains consciousness, she picks up her cellphone and ends up bumping into one of the goons. After talking to the manipulative Kendra, Lady Prima goes to see Jaime and she urges him to take the initiative and open his heart to lõve again.
As Mayi sits outside dejectedly, Brianna comes over with her clique. Upon learning that she missed her scholarship exams, Brianna makes mockery of her. Mayi gives her a piece of her mind and storms off.
Brianna tries to go after her but a phone call stops her dead in her tracks. Mayi is glad to run into Nolan, her childhood friend and they do a little catching up.
Ironically, Kendra employs her daughter’s manipulative skills to convince Jaime to do her bidding. Jaime decides to go and see Kendra at her house to talk to her.
He actually apologizes for being unfair to her, stating that he and Brianna need her. Kendra gets quite as she hugs him. At the precinct, Lillian resorts the child labor going on at the sweatshop.
Someone standing nearby calls Big Bogs on the phone to notify him and he orders for his men to round up the girls. Meanwhile, Kendra dines together with Jaime and his family to celebrate the birth of their relationship.
Brianna taunts Mayi with the scholarship she had failed to get and everyone is taken by surprise when Jaime promises to see her through school. Mayi gets quite emotional and hugs Jaime gratefully.
Meanwhile, the police raid the sweatshop while the goons are trying to transport the kids elsewhere. As Lillian sneaks into the building, Ella and Lenlen get away and they hide from Big Bogs who approaches with a gun.
