Mayi Navigates the Claveria Mansion’s Dangers, While Lillian’s Past and Lenlen’s Struggles Threaten to Expose Secrets.
Mayi drops the family heirloom Lillian had given her and her sisters, and she quickly picks it up and hides it as Jaime approaches. Perhaps she doesn’t want him to see and think she stole it or something.
Anyway, Jaime apologizes to Mayi for what happened with Brianna. Lillian works at a texture factory and as she talks with a coworker named Dindi, her daughter comes over. Lillian gets nostalgic as she observes them together.
During dinner at the Claverias, Brianna leaves her table and surprisingly goes to apologize to Mayi for what happened between them. Clueless as ever, Mayi shakes her hand and Brianna even hugs her for dramatic effect.
Jaime looks on with pride but lady Prima, not so much. Juday and Carmencita don’t seem convinced by the act. In the meantime, Lenlen and Ella are taken out of isolation to join the rest of the child laborers, but not before they’re warned that they’ll be in bigger trouble if they misbehave again.
In spite of Brianna’s apology, Juday cautions Mayi to be wary of her. Speaking of, Jaime commends Brianna for going out of her way to make peace with Mayi.
In an interesting turn of events, Lillian happens to deliver some materials to a location which turns out to be where Ella and Lenlen are being slaved.
The sweatshop owner takes her to his office to make payment for the materials that had been delivered.
The child laborers are ushered into a nearby room to resume work, only for Lenlen to pass out all of a sudden. Ella tries to revive her sister. Commotion ensues as she calls out for help.
The sweatshop owner comes over and he has Lenlen carried away. Lillian goes to check what’s happening but doesn’t see either of the triplets. Later, Ella tries in vain to convince the guys to have her sister see a doctor.
Brianna summons Mayi to her room and shows her true colors, taunting and lording it over her. She declares that she could never be on the same level with a common maid like her.
When Jaime shows up, Brianna puts on a show, claiming that she’s been bonding with Mayi and they’re already friends. Jaime takes Brianna to the school to write her entrance exam. Mayi waits outside as they go into the office.
After a while, she goes in search of the ladies room and winds up in the boys locker room. She chances upon the library where she finds her favorite storybook which her mother used to read to her and her sisters.
When Jaime notices Mayi’s disappearance, he goes in search of her and eventually finds her in the library. He resolves to read the storybook to her and Mayi gets quite emotional. As Jaime consoles her, Brianna comes upon the scene, fuming.
Jaime later takes his daughter shopping with Mayi in tow. Lillian passes by. At the sweatshop, Lenlen pukes blood and passes out again and Ella gets worked up trying to convince their exploiters to help her sister.
Meanwhile, Jaime has a glimpse of Lillian as he waits outside a shop in the mall. He however loses her in the midst of the crowd. Brianna gets the opportunity to confront Mayi over what happened in the library.
She warns her to stay away from her father, declaring that she’ll always be poor and will never be a royalty like her. The other kids come to the aid of Ella and Lenlen when the exploiters refuse to help.
When Jaime tells his mother of his sighting of Lillian, she remarks that it’s impossible since she’s already dead. Kendra chimes in, saying that it was probably a doppelganger.
Lady Prima then urges Jaime to forget about the past and move on. A moment later, she goes to check up on Brianna and tells her about it. Brianna almost slips in her act.
She tells her grandma about how Mayi had tried to take advantage of her father. Brianna is delighted when Prima states that they have to do something about it. Meanwhile, Kendra confronts Victor, asking if he had really k!lled Lillian.
