On the morning following her arrest, the chief of police orders her transfer to a jail cell, a decision that weighs heavily on her. Ivy, her once-trusted confidante, pays her a visit, dripping with sarcasm as she reminds Emilia of the millions she once boasted about acquiring through political maneuvering.

The memory stings, igniting a fierce anger within Emilia. She confronts Ivy, accusing her of being the reason for her imprisonment. Ivy retorts that Emilia deserves to be behind bars, further fueling Emilia’s rage.

As Ivy leaves, Emilia is left in a storm of emotions, shouting and crying, vowing that she will make Ivy pay for this betrayal. Meanwhile, Claire pleads with Julio to help Emilia escape from jail, but he is resolute in his refusal, insisting that he cannot go against the law.

Claire’s irony is palpable as she points out the countless atrocities committed by the Ardientes that have gone unpunished. She warns Julio that he will die alone and forgotten, a fate he dismisses as the last thing on his mind.

Determined to protect his family, he heads to Arnaldo’s room, promising to devise a new plan that will ensure their safety and survival amid the chaos surrounding them. Later, Julio visits Emilia in her cell, where she desperately begs him to secure her release.

He coldly demands a compelling reason to do so, reminding her that her presence could jeopardize his political aspirations. Emilia, heartbroken, cries out for his love and understanding, questioning why it is so difficult for him to embrace her as his daughter.

Despite her pleas, Julio leaves her in despair, instructing the officers to ensure her safety, though his actions reveal a stark disconnect between father and daughter.

Back at home, Julio confronts Ivy, demanding a loan of fifty million to buy votes, asserting that he will share power with her once he is elected governor. Ivy, feeling cornered, reluctantly agrees, all while plotting her own strategy.

She informs Diego of her plan, revealing that her compliance is merely a ruse to gain Julio’s trust. As she secures the funds from Aguas Realty, Ivy appoints Mr. Castro to oversee her responsibilities during her absence.

With the money in hand, she joins Julio and informs Diego of their route. However, Diego and his allies ambush them, overpowering Julio’s men and seizing the cash.

Furious, Ivy commands Carnal Sangano to pursue Diego while she seeks refuge in a nearby restaurant, her mind racing with thoughts of revenge and betrayal.
