Can’t Buy Me Love Episode 45

Bingo & Ling Uncover The Truth About Divine’s Death & The Orchid Place Disaster In Spite Of Cindy & Gina’s Shenanigans.

Cindy tells Charleston that Caroline can’t find out the truth about the details of her mother’s death because it would start trouble for her and Gina. When Charleston asks why, she reveals that they had made Divine look bad and they can’t let Wilson find out.

In an interesting turn of events, Gina contacts someone on the phone and puts out a hit on Gilbert. Bingo apologizes to Ling for keeping her in the dark about his mother’s connection to Gilbert and Orchid Place.

Ling sympathizes with him, saying that she could never get mad at the one person who always helps her. On the phone, Cindy charges Stephen to do whatever he can to bring Caroline home at all costs. It doesn’t take long for a masked goon to break into Gilbert’s house and attack him.

Bingo goes to see Caroline at her suite only to learn that she had left early for Mr. Ibe’s place. Stephen intercepts Caroline and forces her into his car to take her home, and she expresses her outrage and vows that their friendship will be over if he even moves the car an inch.

Bingo is jumped by someone who turns out to be none other than Gilbert. The guy pins him down and accuses him and Caroline of sending a hitman after him. Bingo tries to convince him that they had no hand in it.

In the meantime, Stephen let’s Ling out of the car, saying that he was only doing what Aunt Cindy had asked of him. Bettina goes to see Sherwin in his office and they begin making out in no time. After regrouping with Bingo, Caroline pleads with Gilbert to tell them the truth.

Gilbert goes on about how Divine had turned him down because she løved only Wilson.  Then Cindy had approached him and paid him and Annie to fake documents and frame Divine for the collapse of Orchid Place.

Gilbert notes that they hadn’t used substandard materials for the building so he doesn’t know how it collapsed. All they did was make it look like Divine was stealing from Wilson.

Ling asks about her mother and then comes the shocker – Cindy couldn’t have k!lled her because she was with him when they heard that Divine was dead. It all comes down to the fact that Cindy knows who k!lled Divine and has been covering up for the person.

Upon returning home, Cindy questions Stephen for not bringing Caroline and he tells her that he’s going to be fully supportive of her from now on. In the meantime, Ling wonders about who Cindy could be protecting.

Charleston talks to someone on the phone, pretty upset that they had failed to find Gilbert. Bingo cheesily offers Ling different bouquet of flowers sentimentally. She assures him that he’s not to blame for whatever his mother did, and they both agree that nothing will change between them.

Later, they part ways with Gilbert on a good note. Cindy and Gina have an exchange of words over how they had both handled Caroline digging up the past. Cindy worries that Annie could expose who k!lled Divine and Gina retorts that she would have done it already if she knew who the culprit was.

Upon returning to the city, Caroline decides to return home in order to keep a watchful eye on her stepmother. Bingo speculates that it could either be her father or eldest brother whom Cindy has been protecting but Ling thinks it’s too farfetched.
