Balong’s Desperate Attempt To Get To Caroline Backfires. Wilson Struggles To Select The COO of GLC.

Balong threatens Pato to call Caroline and ask her to meet her. When Paulo points out that they had been ordered to back off, the old man retorts, saying that he calls the shots now. Balong makes Pato call Caroline and she asks her to meet her and bring some fried chicken.

Bettina whines to Sherwin over how Charleston and the others had contested her appointment as the COO of GLC. Meanwhile, Ling proceeds to meet Pato at the abandoned building, only to find her restrained to a chair.

Paulo creeps up on her and holds her at güñpoint before Balong resurfaces and gloats. Out of nowhere, the police surround the place and capture Balong and his son though with a little bit of incident.

Bingo hurries to the precinct to check up on Caroline. He gives her a lecture for going out on her own without him and Ling apologizes and tries to appease him. It turns out that “fried chicken” is code for Balong and Ling looks forward to talking with him once the police are done with their interrogation.

Bettina tags along with Sherwin as he takes his son out to have some fun. When she laments over her ordeal, Sherwin promises that he’ll make sure she becomes his COO. A moment later, Sherwin notifies Annie about the ongoing situation with Balong, as well as her son being there at the police station.

Wilson arrives at the precinct with Cindy in tow just as Balong is being taken into custody. The old man curses at him and accuses him of covering up the collapse of the building that led to the death of his wife and many others.

He then taunts Caroline, saying that her mother also deserved to die since she was in on it with Wilson and Cindy. Aunt Cathy tells Irene that she’ll be working in her Chinese store in a province in Bulacan.

Irene asks to go home first since her father had just called for a family meeting. Bingo goes to see Balong to ask him about his mother’s supposed involvement in the building collapse and the old man taunts him with how the Tius had bribed her to keep things quiet.

At the mansion, Caroline is appalled when Cindy tells her that there was another man (an engineer) in her mother’s life whom she had tried to elope with after stealing from Wilson.

She insinuates that they were both behind the collapse of Orchid Place but Caroline refuses to believe it, even much so when Cindy gives her some pathetic explanation as to why she was covered in her mother’s blood on the night of her death.

Wilson just sits there silently the whole time and Ling storms off after having enough. Later, Irene talks to Bettina about the incident earlier, suspecting that their mother was lying. Bettina takes offense and cuts her off.

Ling and Bingo meet at their spot and take comfort in each other. Bingo takes her home where Grandma Nene welcomes her warmly as usual.

In the meantime, Cindy reflects on how she had connived with Gina and enlisted Annie’s help to frame Divine for the collapse of the Orchid Place property. She also recalls seeing Charleston coming out of Divine’s house in bloody clothes on that fateful night.

Ling researches the Orchid Place fiasco and tells Bingo about Gilbert Bautista, the engineer who had been involved in the building of the property. Annie gets pretty nervous on account of the investigation of the police into Balong and his vices.

In spite of Sherwin’s assurance, Annie resolves to double her efforts to bring down the Tius before Balong drags her name into his mess. Grandma Nene has a heartfelt conversation with Caroline about what she’s been going through.

Interestingly, Wilson pays a surprise visit to his godmother to confide in her about his family problems, namely the battle between his children for the COO as well as Caroline’s accusations regarding her mother’s death.

Cathy counsels her on both accounts and asks him to make Caroline the COO to solve both his problems. Annie is caught off guard when Bingo suddenly visits her at her mansion and asks for information on the Orchid Place fiasco and the death of Divine.

Bingo blows a fuse when his mother is reluctant to say anything. As he storms off, Annie calls out to him and declares that he’ll find Gilbert (the engineer) in La Sinfonia. Read Next Episode on Wildflower Episode 42
