Irene’s Evil Scheme Backfires On Her. In The Wake of Some Heartwarming Moments, Ling Clashes With Bingo.
The episode begins with Irene bringing her special treat to Dara and her friends. The girls are reluctant to eat it since it was unexpected. As Irene tries to convince them to have a taste, Aunt Cathy comes over and they tell her that they feel bad about accepting the dish since Irene had unexpectedly made it free for them.
Without warning, Cathy scoops some of the food and gives it to Irene to try it but then she gags and runs off. Dara and her friends begin blabbering about what she might have put inside the food while Cathy looks on with displeasure.
In an interesting turn of events, Jaime manages to get out of the place he had been confined in, only to be met with some officers who arrest him for the GLC bank hacking. Cathy confronts Irene over the stunt she had pulled earlier and scolds her.
As punishment, she would work until closing time everyday and would be responsible for cleaning up the place. Irene laments, saying that it’s too much and Cathy reminds her that she had practically begged her for a second chance.
Bingo takes Caroline on a trekking experience and she enjoys it pretty much, up to the point when it starts raining. They later find a spot to hang out and Ling startles at the sound of crashing thunder. When Bingo asks if she’s afraid of lightning, her reply is that it reminds her of something.
Ling then asks if he’s always happy when it rains and Bingo says it also reminds him of something. He covers her with his jacket when he notices her shivering. Eventually, Ling leaves after her bodyguard picks her up and upon arriving home, Bettina thanks her for bringing Bingo to help.
The next day at the warehouse, Ling has another unfriendly encounter with Kida and the workers in her department. Having received a negative report about her, Aunt Cathy has her come see her at the restaurant.
She questions her about the things she’s been hearing and Ling blabbers about how the workers have not been following due process. Cathy urges her to try and get along with them because they’re the lifeline of the business.
When Ling returns to the warehouse, she calls for a meeting with her team and makes it clear that she must be notified before anyone takes a product for a discount since she’s accountable for everything in the sorting department.
Kida who’s the team leader of the pricing department should no longer interfere on her turf. Bingo visits Cathy at the restaurant and she asks to discuss something with her. Ling storms out of the warehouse to find Bingo waiting outside and he tells her that he has a surprise for her.
Ling isn’t in the mood for it and Bingo follows her somewhere where she lets out her frustrations. Albert is eager to get justice for his son’s death. He consults with the police who show him their newest suspect – a dashcam of Charleston confronting Edward at the parking lot.
Albert is exasperated that it’s a Tiu once again. Aunt Cathy goes to the warehouse with Daphne, her training manager to refute the rumours going on about Daphne leaving the company. She however announces that she’s hired someone new to work under Daphne as the new training operational manager.
Ling, Kida and everyone else will be reporting to him. Imagine Ling’s surprise when the person is revealed to be none other than Bingo. Bingo gets familiar with the workers and later tries to talk to Ling but she gives him the cold shoulder and scoffs at him, not thrilled with the idea of him being her boss.
Add to the fact that he hadn’t even told her when they hung out last night. Cathy asks Bingo about how things are going and he notes that he’s not going to give up even though he’s been having a hard time.
Though Bingo had been hired to supervise the warehouse, his actual job is to train Ling to work flexibly with other people and earn their respect and loyalty. Bingo assures Cathy that as Ling’s supervisor and her friend, he would never give up on her. Read Next Episode on Can’t Buy Me Love Episode 25
