Emilia & Arnaldo Track Down Ivy; Ivy Outsmarts Emilia. Julio Intimidates The Farmers. Camia Regains Her Memories.
Camia’s eyes scanned the photographs Ivy showed her, her face a map of emotions. Suddenly, her gaze locked onto a picture of her husband, Dante, and her daughter, Lily. “Where’s Lily?” she asked, her voice tinged with desperation. Ivy’s response was measured, her tone gentle but firm.
“Camia, it’s been 13 years. Lily is grown up now. She’s… she’s right here.” Ivy’s words fell flat, as Camia’s face contorted in denial. Arnaldo and Emilia set out for Ivy’s resort, Emilia’s motives far from pure.
Julio’s curiosity was piqued when Arnaldo didn’t reveal their destination. “Where are you headed?” he asked, his voice laced with suspicion. Arnaldo’s evasiveness only fueled Julio’s curiosity. At the resort, the staff’s hesitation was palpable.
“I’m sorry, ma’am, but we’re not accepting guests at the moment,” the lady at the reception said, her voice firm but polite. Arnaldo’s introduction as the mayor and former governor of Poblacion Ardiente didn’t seem to faze her. Ivy, however, knew she had to act quickly.
She excused herself, herding Camia into a secure room and instructing the nurse to keep her calm. Meanwhile, Emilia’s patience wore thin. She and Arnaldo exchanged a look, and without a word, they decided to bypass the reception area.
Ivy, anticipating their move, composed herself and greeted them by the pool, a picture of serenity. Emilia’s smile was warm, but her eyes betrayed her true intentions. “Ivy, dear, I need your help with something,” she said, her voice dripping with sweetness.
As Emilia outlined her plan to use Ivy’s influence to take down Camia Cruz, Ivy’s expression remained unreadable. But when Emilia asked what she would gain from helping, Ivy’s laughter was a cold, calculated sound.
“What makes you think I’d be interested in helping you, Emilia?” she asked, her eyes glinting with amusement. Emilia’s hope flickered, but Ivy’s next words revived it. “Tell you what, Emilia. We have a deal.”
Back in the room, Camia’s agitation grew. The nurse struggled to keep her calm as she demanded to see Ivy. Just then, a loud noise echoed through the hallway, and Arnaldo’s suspicions were aroused. Ivy’s quick thinking and fabricated explanation barely placated him.
Julio’s visit to the farmers’ cooperative was a stark contrast. His anger and disdain for the farmers’ newfound independence were palpable. “You think having your own land makes you independent?” he sneered.
“I’ll show you what true power looks like.” The farmers’ pleas fell on deaf ears as Julio ordered the new governor to confiscate their produce and threatened to cut off their water supply. Ivy’s decision to proceed with the shock therapy was a calculated risk.
The treatment was experimental, but she was determined to restore Camia’s memory. The doctor’s words were laced with caution, but Ivy’s resolve remained unwavering. As the treatment took hold, Camia’s memories began to resurface.
Her eyes locked onto Ivy, and a mix of emotions played across her face. “Lily?” she whispered, her voice trembling. Ivy’s expression softened, and she nodded. Diego’s confrontation with Raul was a powder keg waiting to ignite. “You know why I’m here,” Diego said, his voice low and menacing.
Raul’s words, however, were a sucker punch. “You can’t meet your mother, Diego. Emilia… she’s already dead.” Diego’s rage was a palpable force, but his Nanny Loring and Pandoy intervened, their faces etched with concern. “Diego, please, don’t do this.
The Ardientes will k!ll you.” Diego’s decision was made. He sent Emilia and Arnaldo a text, his words a mixture of gratitude and warning. “Thank you for being my family, but I have to do this. I have to avenge my mother’s death.” The stage was set for a confrontation that would change everything. Read Next Episode on Wildflower Episode 30
