Ivy Strives To Deal With Her Mother’s Condition. Julio Makes His Move To Reclaim His Power & Authority. Diego Uncovers Ivy’s True Identity.
Ivy tries to find a way to escape from Raul’s house, where she has been locked in with Camia. She checks on Camia, who is sleeping soundly, before devising an escape plan. Meanwhile, Raul tries to leave the house, but Emilia begs him to stay with her, citing her sacrifice of giving up her governor seat to save his life.
However, Raul refuses to stay and tries to leave again, prompting Emilia to order her guards to beat him up. The next morning, Diego leaves for Manila to investigate Ivy’s past, starting with her building in the city. He pretends to be a potential buyer to gain access to the building.
Ivy, on the other hand, is busy making breakfast for Camia, but her plans are foiled when she accidentally breaks a glass of juice, wounding her leg in the process. Camia helps her to the bed and cleans her wound, and Ivy eventually falls asleep.
Arnaldo goes to Ivy’s house, demanding to know her whereabouts from Carlota. However, Carlota refuses to divulge any information, threatening to sue Arnaldo for trespassing if he doesn’t leave.
Arnaldo laughs off the threat and heads back to confront Raul, who claims he doesn’t know where Ivy is.
Raul warns Arnaldo to be careful of Julio, predicting that he will discard him once he is done with him. Arnaldo retaliates by telling Raul that he is a worthless father and that Julio has been more of a father to him.
Meanwhile, Julio summons the press and announces that Emilia has been diagnosed with stage 2 ovarian cancer, using this as an excuse to force her to step down as governor. After the press conference, Julio orders Emilia and Raul to be relocated to the guest house, a move that leaves Emilia hysterical.
Diego continues his investigation, visiting Ivy’s former school and pretending to be a journalist. He learns that Ivy was a quiet child when she first arrived at the school due to a trauma she suffered, but she later became one of the most outstanding students.
The teacher shows him Ivy’s picture on the school wall of honor, and Diego recognizes her immediately as Lily. Madrigal offers to become Emilia’s bodyguard and keep an eye on Raul, reporting back to Arnaldo.
When Diego returns to Pablocion Ardiente, he goes to see Ivy at her house, but she still hasn’t returned. He tells Carlota that he needs to speak to Ivy about her lies regarding her real identity.
