In the kitchen, Elif asked Shahin how Ayşe could agree after years of abandonment, but Shahin admitted she had not yet agreed and would in time. He told Elif to act like a cousin, though she was reluctant. Shahin pressured her, saying if she truly wanted to live, she must do her part.
Mirza reminded her that time was short, and Ayşe who was in her room remained unaware of the danger, she tries calling Ferit but stops while Ferit reads her last letter and angrily crumbles it.The next morning, Azade encouraged Ferit to freshen up and join them for breakfast.
She urged him to close the painful chapters of his past and attend Hande’s trial to move forward. Ferit then received a call from an old friend who had returned to town, and they arranged to meet. Meanwhile, Ayşe was awakened by barking dogs and thought she saw a figure in the garden resembling her late mother.
A maid named Hayriye introduced herself, recalling Ayşe’s mother Sevda, and invited her to breakfast with Shahin. At the table, Shahin introduced Elif as Ayşe’s cousin. Ayşe was stunned and uneasy, noting Elif’s resemblance to her late mother. Elif hugged her warmly, and Shahin proudly declared his joy at having both granddaughters at the table.
Ayşe admitted she had once thought she imagined seeing her mother in Elif’s figure. Elif agreed people often said she looked like Sevda. Mirza teased that Shahin had forgotten him after finding his granddaughters, but Shahin reassured him he had a place in their lives. Meanwhile, Adnan met his lawyer, who handed him divorce papers filed by Azade.
Adnan then made calls someone to confirm arrangements with Yaman and the notary. Back at breakfast, Ayşe reflected on how both their mothers had died young, and Elif remarked that Ayşe was stronger, unsettling Shahin and Mirza. Ayşe pointed out that Elif was lucky to have grown up with her grandfather, unlike her own lonely upbringing.
She recalled being told she had once stayed in Adana with her mother, though she did not remember. Shahin admitted Ayşe’s father had turned her against him but hoped time would heal all wounds. Elif expressed happiness that Ayşe would be staying, but Ayşe clarified she would not. She then asked Mirza to give her a lift to Hande’s trial.
After Ayşe left, Shahin urged Elif to focus on her health. In jail, Yaman visited Hande, who feared prison. Yaman told her she would likely be sentenced but promised not to abandon her. She begged him not to leave, and though he warned her not to play games, he assured her of his support.
During the drive to court, Mirza asked Ayşe how she liked Elif, and she admitted she liked her cousin. Mirza said Elif had not been that happy in years. He explained that she struggled with new people. Ayşe asked if he had any bond with Shahin, but Mirza revealed he was adopted. He suggested that Ferit was jealous of that after finding out, but Ayşe corrected him, saying Ferit had no reason to be.
At the court, Mirza pretended to brush something off Ayşe’s hair as Ferit arrived, clearly provoking him. Ferit controlled his anger and walked past. Ayşe stopped him, saying she had gone to Shahin’s place for her mother’s sake. Ferit doubted her explanation but did not argue and went inside with her.
Outside the courtroom, Hande mocked them for not holding hands, but Ferit told her to mind her own business. Zümrüt arrived with Betül, who comforted Ayşe and reassured her that bad people always faced justice as Yaman arrives. After everyone entered the courtroom, Yaman and Betül remained outside.
Betül pulled Yaman aside and told him it was good he came because now he could console his lover one last time before she was sent to jail. Yaman told her it was not the right time, but Betül smirked and left him standing there before she went inside. In court, Ayşe testified, blaming herself for not reporting Hande after being ṣ̌hot, which cost her child’s life.
She insisted that people like Hande should not go unpunished, or they would continue destroying families and love. She demanded Hande’s punishment, declaring her hatred had poisoned her belief in love. Hande was remanded to prison, pleasing Betül but saddening Zümrüt and Yaman. As Hande was taken away, she remembered Yaman’s promise to free her while staring at Ferit and Ayşe.
Afterward, Zümrüt confronted Yaman, saying Hande had only herself to blame. Yaman insisted he would divorce Betül and rescue Hande. Zümrüt warned him to stop upsetting his wife, but Yaman said Betül did not deserve him, and he could not leave Hande. He then told Zümrüt there was one way to help Hande, leaving her tense.
Outside the courthouse, Ferit gave Ayşe back her flower pot. He told her she might be right and they were not meant to be, that she should live peacefully, and that he will make sure Hande would be punished. He thanked her for everything but says he doesn’t want to see her anymore and walked away. Ayşe stood shocked as Mirza arrived.
