Emilia’s night took an unexpected turn when she got heavily intoxicated, prompting Ivy to take her home. Upon arrival, Julio was waiting, and Ivy discreetly left after handing Emilia over to him. However, the moment Ivy was gone, Julio’s demeanor changed, and he attacked Emilia for her drunken state.
Emilia, who had sobered up upon seeing her father, stood her ground and shoved him aside. The words of encouragement from Ivy finally took effect, and Emilia asserted her independence, telling Julio that she was the governor and wouldn’t be dictated to.
Ivy, who had lingered behind, watched the confrontation with a mixture of satisfaction and curiosity. The tension escalated when Julio, furious at Emilia’s defiance, raised his stilts to strike her. Diego intervened just in time, catching the stilts mid-air and refusing to let go.
