Ivy Initiates Her Elaborate Game Plan, Targeting Mayor Arnaldo In Her Quest for Justice.
Arnaldo and his bodyguard, Madrigal, headed out to hunt on one of their properties. As Arnaldo aimed to shoot down something, he heard shots from the other direction and stood up to see who it was.
That’s when he saw Ivy approaching, wearing her gun on her arm, and he was immediately drawn to her confidence and skill. When she got to him, she introduced herself as Ivy Aguas, and Arnaldo said that he was the mayor of Poblacion Ardiente.
Ivy’s eyes sparkled with interest as she expressed her delight in meeting him, but she also mentioned that she was looking to invest in the town and wasn’t impressed with what she had seen so far. Arnaldo’s competitive streak was triggered, and he was determined to show her the best of Poblacion Ardiente.
Arnaldo felt a little stung by Ivy’s candid assessment, but he quickly regained his composure and offered to tour her around the town. He wanted to showcase the town’s potential and charm her into investing. After all, Ivy’s wealth and influence could be a game-changer for Poblacion Ardiente.
Arnaldo had Madrigal investigate Ivy, and he came back with a report that confirmed her wealth and business acumen. With renewed enthusiasm, Arnaldo decided to visit Ivy at her hotel the following day, determined to win her over.
Little did he know that Ivy was not just any investor, but a woman with a hidden agenda and a past that was slowly unraveling. Ivy had just left the pool when Arnaldo arrived, and she dropped her robe on purpose. However, instead of taking advantage of the situation, Arnaldo picked up the robe and helped Ivy put it on.
On the sightseeing journey, Madrigal drove the car while Arnaldo sat in the back with Ivy. Arnaldo sat a little too close to Ivy as he showed her around, and she playfully asked him whether he knew about personal space.
During the tour, they stopped by Diego’s farming society to greet the people there. Ivy was introduced to Diego as Arnaldo’s younger brother, and the rest of the farmers. After the meeting, Madrigal said he had to see someone, leaving Ivy and Arnaldo alone.
Arnaldo took Ivy to see the wind plant that generated energy in Poblacion Ardiente, but she was still not impressed. Arnaldo suggested that they enjoy the rest of the day instead, and took her on a picnic. When Ivy saw the setup, she told Arnaldo that if he wanted to ask her on a date, all he had to do was ask.
Arnaldo said that he was a hunter and wanted to k!ll two birds with one stone. Ivy noticed a house on the other side of the lake and asked Arnaldo who owned it. Arnaldo took her to the house and told her that he had some stakes in it, and could let her have it if she invested in the town.
Ivy asked him what he wanted in return, and Arnaldo said that he only wanted her to invest in the town. Arnaldo talked to Emilia about selling the house to Ivy, but Emilia was hesitant. However, Arnaldo argued that the house was of no use to them, and they needed the money for the upcoming campaign.
Julio supported Arnaldo’s reasoning, and Emilia eventually agreed to let Ivy have the house. Ivy soon moved into the house, and her nanny sent for the workers from Manila to join her. Arnaldo called Ivy to see how she liked the house, and she kept referring to him as Mr. Mayor.
Arnaldo asked her when she would stop calling him that, and Ivy said that she would do so when she met his family and got to know him better. Arnaldo invited her to dinner at his house, and Ivy accepted. When Ivy arrived, she met Emilia first, who mocked her for failing to keep the house in good condition.
Emilia said that she never lost if the battle was worth it. At the dinner table, Ivy charmed the Ardientes, and Raul couldn’t stop looking at her. Ivy paid attention to Arnaldo and Julio instead, commenting on how much the two of them were alike.
She asked about Diego, Arnaldo’s brother, and Julio said that he was a weakling and a disgrace to the family. Diego had just walked into the house and heard everything his grandfather said. He didn’t walk into the dining area, instead going outside and laying all his frustrations on a punching bag.
After dinner, Arnaldo insisted on taking Ivy home, but she asked to go to the bathroom first. She missed the door and went into Diego’s room instead, where she saw Diego holding a handkerchief with the word “Lily” engraved on it. Ivy got flustered and apologized for going into the room.
