Following the futile attempts of the police to find Carmia, two representatives from child services arrive, claiming they had been sent to take Lily into custody. As they drove her away in a van, Lily overheard them discussing her fate. The woman expressed her reluctance to harm a child, and the two stopped to argue.
Seizing the opportunity, Lily escaped from the van and ran for her life. The representatives chased after her, but when Emilia called to instruct them to k!ll Lily, they fired a warning shot into the air to appease her. Lily managed to find a goods van heading to Manila and hitched a ride, escaping the clutches of her pursuers. Back in Poblacion Ardiente, Diego searched for Lily and Carmia at their house, but they were gone. He called Raul to report Lily’s disappearance, but Raul told him to stop looking.

However, his grandfather was furious when he found out and reprimanded him severely, forbidding him from making any more public appeals. Prianka, a kind-hearted woman, recognized Lily from the video and learned about her tragic past.
