Jane Becomes Consumed With The Desire For Revenge on Valerie. Andrea & Her Minion Cover Their Tracks.
The episode begins with Andrea telling Jane to stop involving her son in the case before they both get into trouble. She asks why she’s still worried since Marco is already in prison. Jane states that the woman from the hotel who’s probably Marco’s boss hasn’t been caught yet.
Though no one had seen her, Jane is confident that she might have been captured on the CCTV. Later, Jane informs Edward about her talk with his mother earlier and he’s inclined to believe that she’s just concerned for his well-being.
Meanwhile, Lt. Arnaiz watches the CCTV footage multiple times from different angles but he doesn’t see the woman Jane mentioned. He’s nagged by a fellow officer who wants them to stop chasing their tails. Arnaiz lashes out at him and orders him to go and double-check the videos again.
On the phone, Captain Castillo assures Andrea that he’s taken care of the CCTV footage that captured her. Eileen dines with her boyfriend at a restaurant and talks to him about her brother’s strange løve story. In the meantime, Jane and Valerie have a moment with Alice and Robbie at Lifeline Bar.
They’re glad to hear of their engagement. Brock and Elias show up and try to lure Jane away with hand signals. A moment later, the Evergreen ghosts deliberate on how they’ll tell Jane that her sister tried to k!ll her. Jane chances upon the scene and looks on in disbelief.
After Edward’s performance, Alice and Robbie ask to hire him for their wedding and Jane stalks over to confront Valerie for what she did. Edward and the others are evidently confused. Jane spells it out plainly as to how her own sister had tried to k!ll her.
Valerie breaks down and apologizes profusely, saying that she was consumed by bitterness and didn’t mean to do it but Jane refuses to let it slide. Later, Jane decides to make Valerie pay for what she did and Patricio and Diana try to reason with her, urging her not to return to her former resentful self but to try to forgive her sister.
Jane however refuses to listen, determined to file a case against her for attempted mûrdër. At home, Edward tells his family about the issue between Jane and Valerie. Anton is cornered by the people he owes money to and they rough him up pretty bad to motivate him to pay up next time.
Valerie goes to see Jane and tries in vain to talk things out with her. On the phone, Marco gives Andrea a three day ultimatum to get him out of prison or else he’ll expose her. If something happens to him, he’ll make sure someone exposes her dirty secrets.
Edward strives to talk Jane out of her intention to file charges against Valerie, making note of the incident with Dado and how his family had forgiven him for k!lling him. Jane argues that his case was an accident and since Valerie actually wanted to k!ll her, she will make sure that she rots in prison.
Ofelia stares at a photo of Edward, hoping that he’ll forgive her when he finds out the truth, whatever that is. Ace drops off Eileen at her house and he urges her to introduce him to her parents. Eileen however objects to it, saying that it’s already late and she doesn’t want to wake them.
She heads inside after they say their goodbyes. As Ace approaches his car, he notices a masked man lurking around trying to break into the house and he jumps him. The goon kicks him down and punches him in the face before he skedaddles.
One of the house staff comes upon the scene and calls out for help, prompting Eileen to hurry out. Ofelia is exasperated to find Anton in her room. He shows her the memorandum agreement she made with Andrea.
Apparently, Ofelia had given up the full custody of her child to Andrea. Anton questions and taunts her and Ofelia pleads with him to leave. Robert tells Eileen that her boyfriend is okay. He begins to suspect that the attempted break-in might have something to do with Marco’s case.
Captain Castillo runs point on the incident and Andrea notifies him of Marco’s ultimatum and he promises to handle the issue. Susan offers to hire the best lawyer to defend her daughter but Valerie decides not to fight back. At the Montemayors, Robert urges everyone to be careful following last night’s incident.
