Jane & Her Family Come Under Attäçk, Prompting Edward To Intervene. Jane Finally Wakes Up. Marco Is Arrested.
Monmon and Kokoy overhear a rotten officer talking to the captain about finishing off Jane once and for all. Monmon fires a couple of shots from his slingshot and he and Kokoy take to their heels as the officer pursues them, firing at will.
They’re eventually caught and as the kids strive to fend him off, Berta knocks him out from behind. Meanwhile, Jessie makes a futile attempt to hold off the two officers who break into the room. As he pleads with them not to k!ll his daughter, Edward shows up and lays the smackdown on one.
While he’s busy checking up on Jane, Jessie takes on the other rotten officer and gets shot for his efforts. Arnaiz arrives and gúñs him down. Fortunately, Jessie had only sustained a flesh wound and he recuperates at the hospital with Valerie and Susan at his side.
At the Montemayors, Edward has an argument with his sister over the incident that occurred at Villa Clemente. When Robert and Andrea find out, they give him an earful for putting his life in danger. Edward moves Jane and her family to Lifeline Bar.
In his office, Patricio reprimands Elias and Brock for disregarding their duties at the Evergreen mansion to go and play detective in Jane’s situation. He counsels everyone else against involving themselves in the lives of the living, declaring that Jane is no longer their concern since she’s still alive.
Edward shows up with Jane as Elias and Brock try to convince Patricio to let them help Jane. Patricio says it’s not up to him because they must obey the rules the big boss up there had laid down for spirits not to meddle in the lives of the living. Jane understands and she thanks everyone for all the help they gave her.
She and Edward assure them that they can handle bringing the mastermind to justice. Marco meets up with the captain, considering putting a hold on their operations and lying low for a while since the police are on high alert. The accomplice reminds him that he’s the police captain and he gets upset when Marco blames him for their troubles.
The madam calls him on the phone, upset that they keep screwing up. Meanwhile, Alice tells Edward about her suspicions of Marco and shady involvement with Heaven’s Gate. Elias comes over to show Jane a sketch of the man behind the abduction of her friends and she’s surprised to see that it’s Marco indeed.
Later, Elias talks to Edward and wishes him and Jane well. Valerie visits the Lifeline Bar supposedly to check up on her half-sister. After Berta and the kids give her some privacy, she shows her true colors as she whines and accuses Jane of messing up her life and putting her father in danger.
Madam Diana chances upon the scene as she begins to tamper with the life support machine. Jane begins to flatline and Valerie regrets her actions almost immediately. Meanwhile, Edward pulls over outside Marco’s place and Jane asks him to wait for her outside.
She pops into a room and she’s surprised to find out that Gregorio Valerio is still alive and with Marco who’s eagerly waiting for his boss. The unknown woman saunters into the room and before Jane can get a good look at her, she’s yanked through the wall.
Berta and the others hurry inside after hearing the beeping sounds. With Jane hyperventilating, they urge her to keep fighting. The mastermind behind the insurance scam is revealed to be our very own Andrea Montemayor, Edward’s mother.
She gives Gregorio his new identity to go and start a new life elsewhere just like with Carl John. Provided he pays for her services. While waiting for Jane to return, Edward receives a phone call from Berta, telling him that she’s gone for good.
When all seems lost, Jane finally wakes up much to the relief of her løved ones. Edward soon arrives. Marco wants to get rid of Lt. Arnaiz to solve their problems but Andrea objects to it, saying that they’re not mûrdërers but just running a business.
Edward massages Jane’s leg as they reflect on their memories together. When he tries to ki$$ her, she stops him, saying that she hasn’t brushed her teeth yet. Before Gregorio can escape, Lt. Arnaiz arrests him.
Marco is also arrested for obstruction of justice and the insurance scam. The Montemayors are taken by surprise to see the breaking news of Marco’s arrest.
