Edward Becomes Determined To Prove His Family’s Innocence. Jane Helps Alice & Robbie To Escape Their Kidñappérs.
The episode begins with Jane teasing her aunt Berta and Edward passes on the light-hearted message. Valerie whines about how her mother has decided to let her father reconnect with his other family.
Jane blabbers to Edward about her condition, saying that she has a 50% chance that she’ll live according to the doctor. Edward brings up the accusations against his family and he vows to prove that they had no hand in what happened to her.
Following several futile and desperate attempts to contact her father on the phone, Valerie vents out. Once Jessie enters the room Jane’s body is in, Edward assures him that his family isn’t involved in what happened to his daughter. Jessie asks if he løves her and he says so.
When Edward confirms that Jane is still there, Jessie recounts the past, revealing that her mother had found out about his other family on her 14th birthday. He expresses remorse and promises to make it up to her and her brother.
Robbie refuses to talk even after the goons beat him up, demanding for the whereabouts of Jane’s family. However, he’s compelled to cooperate when they thrëâten Alice. Jane makes several attempts to synchronize her spirit with her body all to no avail.
The next day, Robert talks to his wife about his suspicions of Marco and Zion Insurance and his decision to cut ties with him, a moment before Edward shows up. Alice and Robbie are both tied up in the abandoned building.
Alice asks Robbie if he really knows where Jane’s family is and he replies in the negative, saying that he had to give the kidñappérs something before they k!lled them. Speaking of, the goons head to the location Robbie had given them and on the phone, Marco orders them to k!ll everyone and leave no trace.
Edward asks his parents about the allegations against Heaven’s Gate and whether they’re true. Eileen takes offense, saying that she’s handling the issue. Edward proposes for them to submit a declaration of their assets in order to prove that they’re not making money from the scams.
Andrea agrees with him. A moment later, Marco arrives to talk to the Montemayors and get them to reconsider cutting ties with him. The Montemayors refuse to play ball. Elias begins to spy on Edward, suspecting that he’s deceiving Jane together with his family.
He and Brock chance upon Marco talking to the hired gúñs on the phone. Marco is upset that Robbie and Alice had lied to them so he orders his men to go and teach them a lesson and eliminate them once they give up the real location of Jane’s family.
Meanwhile, Alice and Robbie manage to untie themselves and Robbie lowers Alice down from the building with a long cloth. They’re however caught again before they can get away. Elias and Brock hurry to Villa Clemente to notify Jane of what they heard.
While Marco gives the order for his men to get rid of Alice and Robbie for good, Elias and Brock bring Jane to where her former friends are being held. The ghosts make use of their haunting antics to fluster the goons. Robbie takes advantage to knock one out the window while Alice takes care of the other. They then make a run for it.
A maid from a nearby house stands outside the Montemayor house and she begins disssing Andrea and her family. Ofelia faces off with her, leading to a cat fight. Alice and Robbie tell the police about their suspicions of the mastermind of the ordeal they went through – Marco and the Montemayors.
Lieutenant Arnaiz says they need concrete evidence to build a case against them. Jane asks Elias the identity of the man they had followed but tough luck cause he’s got no clue. Elias begins with his suspicions of Edward and Jane cuts him off. Later, Jane says her goodbyes to the staff of the Evergreen mansion before she goes to be with her family.
