Jane Refrains From Crossing Over. Gary Äbduçts Kokoy. Edward Gets His Big Break, Provoking Eileen To Jealousy.
Jane expresses her utmost appreciation to the Evergreen staff for all the help they’ve given her. She tries to cross over again to be with her mom. She steps into the magic elevator, only to change her mind at the last minute. Edward is downcast at Lifeline Bar, ignoring his buddies as they implore him to join them on stage for rehearsal.
Jane shows up and calls out to him and he brightens up in an instant. She tells him that she’s decided to stay for a while to spend more time with her brother and do the things she couldn’t do when she was alive.
Later, madam Diana asks why she had refrained from crossing over. When Jane notes that she no longer harbors any kind of resentment or hate for her father or anyone else, Diana then points out that she’s staying because of løve.
Jessie visits Berta at home to tell her about the strange incident that had happened at his house involving Jane’s ghost. They both can’t seem to figure out Jane’s connection to Edward. Kokoy spies and later outside, he ends up getting äbduçted by a masked goon.
Jessie returns home and Valerie gives him grief when she learns of where he had gone. Jessie tries to reason with her but it’s no use. In the meantime, Gary roughs up Kokoy and asks him if his mother and Edward know anything about Jane’s case.
Kokoy reveals that they know nothing, adding that the envelope Edward had taken only had letters Jane had written to her dad. Gary then charges him to find the files he’s been looking for, lest he and his mother pay the ultimate price.
Out of sight, Marco observes silently. When Kokoy arrives home all bruised up, he evades his mother’s questions and Berta scolds him thinking that he had gotten into a mere fight. Edward is delighted to receive news that a record producer will be coming to watch his gig soon.
He excitedly notifies his buddies. A moment later at home, he celebrates with his parents who congratulate him for the big break. Eileen comes upon the scene and she’s not a happy observer. Later, she hangs out with Valerie at a bar and she indulges her as she whines to her about ghost Jane and the grief she’s been causing her.
Anyway, Edward celebrates his birthday with Jane and Valerie is at a loss for words when she shows up with a brand new guitar as a gift for him. She looks on as Edward bonds with the ghost girl and even sings for her. Eventually, Valerie storms off after discarding the gift she had brought.
A group of people in black light candles around the Evergreen mansion in an attempt to attract the spirits there. Brock suggests that they should deal with them but Mr. Guzman says they should do nothing, thereby making the intruders look like fools.
While dining with Jane, Edward brings up how he had felt it when he touched her on her way to the magic elevator earlier. Jane relates with him and thanks him for the fun they’ve had.
