Camila Closes In on the Truth as Elias Uncovers Emma’s Hidden Past
Elias and Intoy finally reached Manila. Determined to trace Emma’s past, Elias began asking for directions to places where Emma had previously worked. They boarded a cab heading to the beauty salon listed in her résumé. Meanwhile, back in Las Espadas, Urnosa handed protective stones to Guada, who remained uneasy about Juan Felipe’s silence and disappearance.
At a restaurant, Luciano met with the newly-elected mayor. After their discussion, he contacted one of his henchmen and instructed him to storm the warehouse where Camila and her group were expected to be. His chilling order: eliminate anyone found inside.
Camila and Fabio, hiding in the forest nearby, observed the warehouse using a telescope. Fabio snapped pictures of the armed men. When the goons exited, Camila decided to pursue them discreetly on a motorcycle to discover who their leader was. Back in Manila, Elias arrived at the salon and inquired about Emma Bonaobra. Initially, the staff pretended not to know her.
However, one woman finally admitted that Emma had indeed worked there and was now employed as a mortuary makeup artist. While Camila continued tailing Luciano’s men, they reported to Luciano that the warehouse was empty. Suspicious, Luciano concluded that it had all been a trap. Fabio kept calling Camila, but she didn’t answer.
Focused on uncovering the leader’s identity, Camila chased after the main culprit by motorcycle. Luciano, realizing he was being followed, opened fire on her and later switched vehicles. He instructed his henchman to dispose of the car used during the chase.
At the hideout, Fabio scolded Camila for deviating from their agreed plan. Camila defended her decision, explaining she was close to identifying the mastermind. Fabio remained firm that their mission was to collect intel—not to provoke a direct confrontation.
Elsewhere, Urnosa overheard Luciano furiously yelling at portraits of Jacobo and Guada, declaring that he was not a failure and always emerged victorious. This outburst triggered suspicions, and Luciano began to believe someone in his circle was betraying him. Luis, who had been secretly listening, quickly fled the scene when Luciano’s footsteps approached.
Meanwhile, Camila received word that Elias was searching for Emma. When Vito arrived at the hideout, Camila confronted him, questioning whether he was behind Elias’ trip to Manila. At that moment in Manila, Elias noticed a child singing a song Emma had composed.
Intrigued, he followed her and discovered that Emma had been abandoned by her mother in a chapel and was later adopted by a wealthy family. This disproved her claim of growing up in an orphanage—she was, in fact, a former street child. Unbeknownst to them, a woman was secretly listening in on their conversation.
Camila later accused Vito of trying to manipulate Elias into exposing Emma as a fraud. Fabio demanded that Vito contact Elias to stop his investigation. While at the hideout, Vito recognized a tattoo and shared that it belonged to someone named Timothy Smith. He recalled seeing it among Javier’s possessions after his death and mentioned that the symbol originated in South Africa.
Camila dug deeper based on Vito’s information and discovered that Timothy Smith had ties to the Dela Torre plantation through a major business deal. It turned out to be a front for a drug syndicate. Vito remembered Javier once telling Antonia that their competitor had dealings with suspicious people.
Camila became convinced that the supposed agricultural business had been a cover for drug trafficking all along. Piecing everything together, they realized Camila had always been the real target. She recalled how Luciano was outraged when her grandfather named her as his successor.
Luciano had vowed that Renato’s daughter would never take control of the plantation. Now, it was clear: Jacobo had no knowledge of the illegal operations. Luciano had orchestrated everything, including framing Camila through Javier’s death, to take over the inheritance meant for her.
Determined to clear her name, Camila resolved to expose the syndicate and all of Luciano’s crimes. In Manila, Elias continued piecing together Emma’s real history. The child revealed the truth about Emma’s abandonment and confirmed the song was her creation. Elias now believed his suspicions were valid—Emma had been hiding her true identity.
Later, over drinks, Elias confided in Intoy that Emma had lied to them and that everything he suspected was turning out to be true. Back in Las Espadas, the K!ller Café was alive with music and dancing. Despite the lively scene, Tessa made another attempt to mend her broken marriage. But Vito, still emotionally conflicted, could not bring himself to fully reconcile with her.Read Next Episode On The Killer Bride Episode 37
