Jane’s Attempt To Make Peace With Her Father Goes Horribly Wrong. Edward Reconciles With His Parents.
Berta tells her son about how Edward had paid off Monmon’s hospital bills. She scolds Kokoy when he asks why she hadn’t asked for more money from him since the guy is probably rich.
Berta begins to suspect that either Edward or the person who broke into their house before could have something to do with what happened to Jane. Meanwhile, Marco assures his lackey that Edward doesn’t know anything, judging from the conversation he had with his father.
Gary frets over Jane’s envelope and Marco lashes out at him for failing to get it. A moment later, Gary calls Kokoy to demand for him to hold up to his end of their deal regarding Jane’s envelope. Kokoy begins to suspect that his mother’s suspicions could be true.
Monmon returns home after getting discharged from the hospital and Berta is surprised when her son begins to treat his cousin nicely. Alice tells Robbie that the private investigator assigned to the Gregorio case went missing after Jane’s accident.
Edward tells Jane about the accident that had caused the death of someone he considered as a second father to him. The incident had also caused him the trauma of driving. Edward blames himself because his recklessness had caused the accident.
Anyway, the driver drops him off outside Mr. Marasigan’s house which takes Edward by surprise for some reason. Valerie comes out of the house and eagerly greets Edward and takes him inside. She throws herself at him, only for Edward to reveal that he came to see her father.
Now it’s Jane’s turn to be surprised. Robert worries about the trouble Edward caused recently, making note of the accident that k!lled Dado. Ofelia points out that Edward can never get over the trauma if they keep reminding him about it. Andrea doesn’t take it kindly.
Later, she gives Ofelia an earful. Edward tells the Marasigans the reason for his visit. He hands him the envelope and reveals how Jane died from an accident. Jessie looks on lamely.
Andrea whines to her husband, asking why he lets Ofelia meddle in their family. Robert demands for them to stop blaming their son for the accident. Valerie whines to her mother about her father’s other family and she assures her that she won’t have to share him with anyone.
While Jessie stares at the letters as Jane observes, Valerie shows up and asks if he really has another child with his mistress. Jane is appalled when Jessie doesn’t correct her but actually apologizes.
Now her mother’s the mistress and they’re the illegitimate children? Later, Jane laments to Edward about how her father had turned his back on her and her brother. Edward goes out of his way to cheer her up. Jane worries about what her fate could be if she’s not able to cross over.
While Edward is playing a song by himself at the Lifeline Bar, Andrea shows up with Robert, amazed with his performance. She agrees to come and watch his show later tonight. She then asks him to sing for her again and Jane and Celine get quite emotional over their reconciliation.
Eventually, the Evergreen staff see off a ghost in crossing over in the magic elevator. When Diana brings up the incident earlier, Jane states that she doesn’t think she can ever forgive her father.
