The Lifeline Band Shines Bright With The Help of the Ghosts. Edward Finds Trouble While Helping Jane.
Edward and his band perform at Lifeline Bar and the Evergreen staff keep up their end of the bargain to help them impress the crowd. Andrea asks Ofelia to help her out with the buffet and she makes a pathetic attempt to wiggle her way out of it.
After the recent gig, the Lifeline band has a live stream interview where they talk about their dreams. Valerie watches from home and she actually gets upset when Edward doesn’t name her as his inspiration.
Later, the Lifeline band has another performance where they serenade their audience. Robert is among them and he’s impressed. He believes Edward has talent and can accomplish his dreams even without all the gimmicks.
Jane takes a drive with Edward who’s delighted when one of his live gigs is played on the radio. Edward thanks her for believing in him while the driver seems spooked for good reason. Anyway, Andrea refuses to believe “the nonsense” about the existence of ghosts.
Robert tries to reason with her about the matter of the afterlife, urging her to give their son another chance. Ofelia puts in a couple of words much to Andrea’s annoyance. Later, Ofelia goes grocery shopping with the driver and when she sees Dado, she gets out of there pretty fast.
Kokoy is eager to try out his friend’s ride. He gets behind the wheels just as Monmon comes out and drops his student ID. Jane coaches Edward on what to say to her aunt once they get to her house. She also asks him to deliver a message to her brother.
Unfortunately, Kokoy backs up and knocks down Monmon while he’s trying to pick up his ID. The cab driver pulls into the neighborhood just then and when Jane cries out her brother’s name, Edward hurries to his aid. He carries him to the car and takes him to the hospital.
Monmon is attended to by the doctor and after he regains consciousness, Edward subtly passes on Jane’s messages to him. Later when Berta arrives, Monmon identifies the person who brought him to the hospital as a friend of Jane. Berta asks for his name but he doesn’t remember.
On the phone, Kokoy’s buddy charges him to find a particular envelope of Jane’s which he had paid him for. Meanwhile, Jane takes Edward to her room to get the very same thing which supposedly contains letters she wrote to her dad.
A goon in black barges in and tries to snatch it from him at güñpoint but Edward wrestles with him. Before things can get any worse, Jane intervenes with her booming sonic scream, spooking the intruder and making him run.
Marco’s henchman calls him to inform him of the botched operation and the encounter with the Montemayors’ son. A moment later, Marco pays a visit to Robert at Heaven’s Gate for business probably with ulterior motives.
When Berta arrives home and finds Edward there, she pounces on him thinking that he’s the one who broke in. Edward runs off after trying in vain to explain. Next, we see him behind bars with Jane apologizing for getting him into trouble.
Robert receives a phone call and he goes to the precinct to bail out his son. After all the misunderstanding is sorted out, Berta apologizes and thanks Edward for helping her nephew and watching over their house. Later outside, Robert gives Edward an earful while Jane looks on helplessly.
Robert heads to the car, saying that they have to go and Edward pulls a fast one as he runs off. When Jane asks why he took off like that, Edward holds up the envelope, reminding her that they’re going to see her father.
