Edward Lands In Trouble With His Parents Amidst His Struggling Ambition. Jane Fails To Cross Over Again.
Jane is escorted to her father’s house by Mr. Guzman and the others. She recalls the time when her mother’s deteriorating health had compelled her to try to reach out to Jessie, only to be obstructed by Susan.
Mr. Guzman urges that Jane needs to make peace with her father so she can move on. Jane heads inside with her companions where she laments over how she and her family had suffered while Jessie was enjoying his life with luxury.
Jessie shows up on a phone call with an acquaintance of his and Jane vents out when she realizes that he’s not changed one bit. Edward talks to his buddies about the challenges they faced with the soft opening of the resto-bar.
Unlike Pol, Jeff and Kyle consider leaving the band to try something else. Robert wants to go on vacation with his wife and leave Edward in charge of the business. Andrea objects to it, saying that Eileen is much more capable.
Speaking of, Eileen confronts her brother over how he had squandered 2 million on the resto-bar. They get into an argument and she accuses Nanny Ofelia of being his backer. When Robert and Andrea show up, Eileen rats them out.
She gloats as both Edward and Ofelia are scolded by their parents. Andrea takes things up a notch by declaring that Ofelia is fired. Edward pleads on her behalf and Robert calls for order.
Later, Andrea gives Ofelia a stern warning, stating that she’s just an employee and shouldn’t meddle in her family’s business. Jane realizes that she’s actually the one holding herself back from crossing over.
However, she’s unable to cross over when she tries a second time and Diana and Mr. Guzman speculates that there’s still some underlying issues she needs to deal with regarding her father.
Edward witnesses the scene and later he has an argument with Jane over how she had ruined the resto-bar’s soft opening. They curse at each other before Jane storms off. Valerie comes upon the scene and asks Edward who he was talking to.
When he evades the question, she begins blabbering about how she still cares and løves him. She wants him to prioritize her over everything but Edward says his main focus is the resto-bar and his band.
Jane witnesses the scene with Brock and George, recalling the fire incident. Apparently, Valerie was the one who had deliberately torched the storage room in an attempt to discourage Edward from pursuing his dream with the Evergreen mansion.
Ofelia brings Edward his dinner and when he doesn’t answer and finds the door locked, she goes to get the spare key. Jane gets worried for some reason and decides to pop into the room to check on him.
She ends up startling Edward who’s just come out of the bathroom. After an exchange of words, Edward thanks her for her concern in spite of everything and she urges her to spare Evergreen mansion.
