The show begins with Jane hurrying to work. Upon getting to Tabuena architect company, she scurries to get a space in the elevator, only to find it filled up. She, however, pulls a stunt, throwing her bag in to hold up the elevator from going up.
Though she gets inside, she’s compelled to step out because the lift is already full and she was the last person in. She’s taunted by sir Marco who’s already in. Nevertheless, Jane takes the stairs and she gets to the second floor and when she meets a line for the elevator, she carries on all the way to the 4th floor.
By this time, Marco’s elevator ride is delayed because of someone on board. He arrives at the office to see Mr. Tabuena, but it’s too late because Jane has already beaten him to the chase. Mr. Tabuena seems delighted with the proposal she had presented.
Zion Insurance have an awarding ceremony to celebrate their best worker. Jane receives the platinum award for her hard work and dedication much to Marco’s dismay. Later, the company organizes a party to celebrate the event and Jane hangs out with Alice her best friend and boyfriend Robbie.
A moment later, she catches Robbie talking to his apparent mistress on the phone. He’s been planning to break up with Jane but doesn’t want to do it on the night of her big win. Jane confronts him and lashes out at him.
The next morning, Jane finds a black rose with a thrëâtening note in her office. She goes to confront Marco who denies it and lectures her about how she keeps stealing clients of coworkers. Jane justifies her actions.
On the phone, Alice tells Jane that Robbie wasn’t the one who sent her the black rose. He had also asked her to turn in his resignation from the company. Jane recalls how her father had left her during her childhood, leaving her and her mother Sylvia and little brother Monmon behind.
While they struggled to get by, Sylvia had fallen deathly ill. Jane tracked down her father, only to find that he had already started over with a new family. Presently, Jane goes to a bar where a band performs a løve song.
After the performance, some random guy tries to hit on her but she snubs him. When the creep continues harassing her, Edward the singer intervenes and gets into it with the other guy. The situation escalates and Jane leaves after lashing out at both of them.
The band falls out with the owner of the bar because the guy Edward had fought with is related to him. Edward refuses to kneel down and apologize to him so they’re kicked out.
He spends the night at his løver’s place and sneaks out of her room the morning before her father catches them together. Upon getting home, Edward is lectured by his parents for sleeping out and still keeping company with Paul’s band.
Jane reprimands Alice after she had tried to grant a client an insurance without going through due process. Alice blabbers about how their coworkers talk nasty about her behind her back. Jane gets upset and asks if she’s also jealous of her; she’s her boss though they had applied for work on the same day.
Also, she liked Robbie but she was the one he had chosen. Alice gets upset and leaves the shop. Jane tries to go after her and when she goes back inside, she finds another black rose on the table.
Upon spotting her little brother outside, she calls him on the phone but he ignores it. Jane then hurries home to confront Monmon for cutting class after working so hard to give him a good future. She scolds him and the boy runs to his room.
The landlord Berta and her son Kokoy reveal a surprise dinner her brother had organized to celebrate her birthday. Jane goes to talk to him calmly this time and they make up. Eventually, she reflects on how her father had abandoned their family on her birthday.
