Emma Caught Between Love and Loyalty as Las Espadas’ Dark Truths Resurface
The episode opens at the chapel where Emma comforted Elias. She sincerely called him a good man, saying he radiated a constant and joyful light. To her, Elias had a glow that brought delight to those around him. After the parade, Elias couldn’t take his eyes off Emma as she wiped her face clean. Emma offered him a heart, and he received it gladly.
He assured her that seeing her happy made him happy too and even promised to keep the heart close to him at all times. Suddenly, Emma noticed Seth nearby and ran toward him, prompting Elias to follow. Upon arriving, Seth warned Elias to stay away from Emma.
In response, Emma grabbed Elias’ hand and suggested they leave. But Seth pulled her back, triggering Elias to step in and ask what his problem was. Seth retaliated with a punch to Elias’ stomach. Emma defended Elias by kicking Seth and threatening him with a stone, forcing him to back off.
As emotions heightened, Elias revealed his true feelings to Emma. He explained why he was always ready to protect her, declaring his genuine affection. Emma was momentarily stunned by his confession. But her mind wandered to Camila’s earlier warning that men often make women cry and lie to get what they want.
She also remembered Camila urging her to complete her mission. Conflicted and overwhelmed, Emma suddenly ran away, leaving Elias confused after baring his heart. Meanwhile, Marvin Cruz collected his payment from Felipe.
As he packed his belongings at home, he was haunted by the ghostly figure of a woman in white who accused him of being a coward and a liar, reminding him that Las Espadas was cursed because of people like him.
Out on the road, Emma, still fleeing, was startled by the headlights of an oncoming car and began to hallucinate. Elias caught up to her and offered his support as she broke down in tears. Marvin was later confronted by the killer bride. Terrified, he pleaded for his life and promised to confess his crimes. He admitted that the mayor had bribed him to lie and phoned a radio station to share his plan to go public with the truth in an interview the next day.
The killer bride vanished, and it was revealed that Camila had secretly followed Felipe to locate Marvin’s home. Emma later told Elias about her hallucination. She described a shadowy figure murmuring the word Belladonna—the poisonous flower that had been used to drug both her and Andres. She told Elias she needed to visit Mr. Andres. Elias offered to accompany her, but Emma hesitated, not wanting him to get involved. Still, Elias insisted on staying by her side through her struggles.
Later, at Buena Tierra, Lani and Larry appeared. Camila received a call from Fabio, who asked if Emma was really in Buena Tierra. Camila continued to lie, saying Emma was at home and that she would try calling her. Fabio mentioned that he had tried reaching Emma, but her phone wasn’t connecting.
The next morning, Emma and Elias left Buena Tierra. Larry wished that they would return as a couple someday, saying they looked good together. The two then visited Andres, who was sitting in a garden wheelchair. A nurse informed them that Andres’ condition was stable, though he rarely spoke.
Emma gently asked about his health and whether he had been taken to the cave in the woods. Overcome with emotion, Andres stood and wept as he tightly embraced Emma. The nurse asked Emma to leave shortly after. At the police station, the waiter who confessed to killing Justino couldn’t provide concrete details about the crime.
The Investigators grew suspicious that he had been bribed to lie, especially since there was evidence placing him elsewhere when the crime occurred. The officers were puzzled, wondering how he could be in two places at once. Meanwhile, Camila reached out to Intoy to contact a floral designer for an upcoming event.
Intoy said the owner had traveled to Buena Tierra, triggering Camila to remember that Fabio had asked whether Emma was there. As Emma and Elias traveled back to Las Espadas, she tested Camila’s honesty. They arrived at Dako Paroon, and during the ride, Elias tried to find out if Emma liked him as well. Just then, Luis saw them together and grew jealous.
Emma later apologized to Manay Ichu. While she sat quietly, reminiscing about her happy moments with Elias at Buena Tierra, something unexpected happened—Fabio arrived. The maids were visibly uneasy, prompting Fabio to ask why they looked like they’d seen a ghost.
Camila and Emma greeted him. It turned out that after their previous conversation, Camila had anticipated his visit and he had rearranged his schedule to come home early. While Emma sat in the garden, Camila approached her and explained everything.
Emma packed her things and bumped into Manay Ichu on her way out, telling her that the person who once took care of her in Manila had passed away and she needed to attend the wake. Emma met Camila, who was waiting in a car on the road to Las Espadas. Camila had already booked a flight, and they left for Manila, set to arrive in just 15 minutes.
Fabio later gave Emma a teddy bear. Upon hearing Fabio’s name, Emma was reminded of Camila’s previous stories about the gifts he used to give her. Though unsure at first, Emma accepted the bear and glanced at Camila. Fabio asked Emma where she had gone, and Camila explained that Emma did go to Buena Tierra.
She scolded Emma for her reckless behavior, implying that her teenage ways had caused Fabio to return home. During dinner, Fabio asked who Emma had stayed with at Buena Tierra, and Emma replied that it was just an old school friend.
The person who had invited her also told Fabio that Emma had been invited and should’ve been allowed to stay. Camila disagreed, saying she didn’t trust the person Emma was with and that she had been trying to teach Emma about responsibility—particularly about committing to her duties at the casino.
