Max Gains His Freedom & Teams Up With Alexa To Save Lala. Dona Cielo Suffers A Stroke. Lemuel Catches Alexa Red-handed.
Lemuel confronts chief Isidro over why he had released Ador in spite of the tons of evidence against him. The chief claims he had reexamined the evidence and they hadn’t matched. Exasperated, Lemuel indulges him as he blabbers some more.
Meanwhile, Alexa questions Delia about her statement and she comes clean and starts whining about Olivia’s supposed affair with Carlos. Lala makes a pretty pathetic and futile attempt to escape from the police.
Abe implores Nico to leave El Hambra and disappear from social media for his safety until things settle down. A moment later, he meets up with Alexa at the rest house in La Muerte and she informs him of what she had found out.
Apparently, Precious had lied in her statement and Delia had followed suit. Abe and Alexa put on their false identities as Aidan joins them for dinner. Later that night, Mila gets Aidan talking and learns that Carlos used to frequent the rest house since the property is under his name.
The next morning, Alexa and Abe begin digging around the property in an attempt to find Olivia’s remains. A worker there asks them not to touch a spot which had been restricted by Carlos. Dona Cielo blows a fuse when Leona starts a board meeting without her.
To add insult to injury, Olga taunts her with the fact that she now owns majority shares in the company. The poor old woman disses them and ends up suffering a stroke. In the meantime, Alexa and Abe begin digging the suspicious spot.
Max is finally released on bail and he strives to encourage Lala.
Later, he meets up with Alexa and they plan to find the evidence Isidro has against Lala in order to ensure her freedom. They don masks and break into the chief’s house to search the place. Max serves as the lookout while Alexa does the searching. She finds a folder with Lemuel’s brother’s name on it.
Unfortunately, Lemuel and Isidro arrive and notice that someone has broken in. Max warns Alexa and she flees with the folder she found. Lemuel chases her and catches her. He then unmasks her and takes a step back in shock.
A moment later, Lemuel rejoins Isidro inside the house alone and claims that he hadn’t been able to catch the culprits. After dismissing him, Isidro hurries into a secret room, and we’re given yet another shock – Carlos Fiero lies in a bed on life support.
