Armando Lays Out His Plans. Lily & Renato Face Off. Cardo Strives To Encourage His Comrades. Lily Strikes A Deal With Don Ignacio To Secure Her Victory In The Elections.
Armando tells Samuel and Lucas about his plan to venture into politics once they’ve gotten rid of Don Ignacio. He gives Samuel the task of getting information on the old geezer while Mara is asked to see to the well-being of Cardo and his group.
At the Palace, preparations are made for the presidential candidates interview. Renato is first to go on air and he begins blabbering some crap about his desire to restore peace and order in the country when he’s elected into office.
Lily goes next with her beloved husband by her side. She lays out her ambitions and Mariano puts on a supportive show. The Senate president, Camillo, watches the live broadcast, confident that he would finally get the power he wants by supporting Lily and Oscar.
Cardo has a talk with his comrades about the cause they’re fighting for. In San Andres, Oscar stays hidden while Ambo poses as a lawyer and advocates for the people who are being forced to vacate their land.
The goons leave but not before throwing in a couple of thrëâts. The people resolve to give Oscar a second change. In the meantime, Camillo calls Lily to ascertain his support for her. Renato isn’t the least bit happy to find out that he’s been ditched.
With a couple of the members of Task Force Agila complacent, Cardo charges his group to keep up the fight and their mission to save the country from the corrupt officials in the seat of power.
Speaking of, Lily and Renato have an unfriendly encounter at the Palace. The people of San Andres warm up to Oscar and hopes that he brings about good changes for them. In the meantime, Lily goes to see Don Ignacio to urge him to finally endorse her.
The old geezer begins whining about how Oscar had caused a huge rift between him and his daughter. Don Ignacio would only endorse her on one condition – Lily has to bring Oscar to an upcoming art auction and have him kneel and beg for his forgiveness behind closed doors. Lily agrees to the deal.
