Lily’s Cunning Scheme Succeeds; Renato Won’t Back Down. Trouble Begins To Brew In San Andres. Don Ignacio Orders Eduardo To Get Rid Of The Thorn In His Side.
Mariano tries to explain things to Ellen in regards to the scandal. He makes a pathetic attempt in doing so and since she’s determined to leave him for good, he decides to lock her inside the room, much to Cassandra’s disbelief.
At the Palace, Cassandra tells her aunt about the incident and Ellen being pregnant too. Lily notes that they still need Mariano in spite of his baggage. Oscar is appalled with how his good name is being tarnished by his enemies. Ambo and Elizabeth share his disgust.
Oscar explains things to Bastian and Paeng, hopeful that they would be able to save their country with Cardo’s help. In the meantime, a couple of the Eagles talk about how Samuel has been trying to provoke them. Ramil notes that Oscar is bound to come to the north to seek Don Ignacio’s support for the upcoming election.
Cardo declares that they need to make their move before their enemies gain a foothold in the Palace. Don Ignacio is enraged upon discovering that a handful of his business partners have died in such a short time.As Aurora walks in, he orders Eduardo to track down the perpetrator and eliminate him as he suspects foul play involved.
When Lucia notices Aurora, she lamely tries to cover things up and make it seem like her father is still not feeling well. Renato is exasperated to find out that Lily’s acting skills had helped her to inch closer to him in the current surveys.
Ellen makes a desperate, futile attempt to escape the house.Meanwhile, Renato refuses to be beaten by Lily. Arturo plans to cash in his history with Don Ignacio to get him to side with them. Later, Renato has an encounter with Mariano and vows to deal with him when the time is right for betraying him.
Trouble begins to brew in San Andres as some armed men give the inhabitants a 7 days notice to vacate the land, supposedly for not paying their taxes. While Lilly plans to go and see Don Ignacio again, Eduardo continues to connive with his men to get the Guillermo fortune by eliminating Aurora.
